KLEMENZ, Linda Jean (Nee: Howg) 1949 – 2019

Klemenz, Linda Jean (nee: Howg), formerly of Lomond and Calgary, peacefully passed away at Vulcan Extendicare on October 18, 2019 at the age of 70 years.

Linda was born and raised on the farm between Lomond and Enchant until the age of 17, at which time she went to Calgary to attend Nursing Aide School. Linda graduated as a certified Nursing Aide in 1968 and started working at the Calgary General Hospital on the Cardiology Ward for a year and a half. She then moved for a short time to the Bethany Care Centre.

Richard Clarke Burgess of Calgary, beloved son of Dorothy Burgess of Champion, passed away at the South Calgary Health Campus on September 4, 2019 at the age of 67 years.

Besides his mother Dorothy, Richard is survived by his siblings – Rosemarie (Eldon) Kube, Cynthia Houston, Trish (Glen Barker) Gibson, Ron Burgess and Darrell (Cheryl) Burgess. He was predeceased by his father Gordon Burgess in 2013.

Maury was born December 18, 1959 in Calgary, AB to Keith and Barbara (Poffenroth) Groves. He received his education in Champion and Vulcan Schools. Maury then attended Medicine Hat College for one year, playing football for the Rattlers. He attended SAIT for two years and was active in their curling program. Her passion was horses, horses, horses and she rode whenever she could in her youth. Due to a stroke at the age of 19 Judy had to relearn many things, but did so with great tenacity. She worked hard to learn to write left-handed and to walk again.

Lloyd was born Nov 24,1926 along with his twin brother Floyd, to Andrew and Isobelle Armstrong at home by Lake McGregor. He attended Sunny Lake school from Grade 1-9 then Grade 10-11 in Milo and Grade 12 in Vulcan. Growing up, Lloyd was very active in baseball, hockey and sports in general, which continued throughout his life.
