William Edward (Bill) Deitz passed away peacefully on September 8, 2020 at the Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary, Alberta at 86 years of age.

Son of Jack and Hilda (Kjorn) Deitz, Bill was born on October 2, 1933 in Bassano, Alberta and was the baby of the family, with 6 older brothers and sisters.

Growing up in the Milo area, William met Lois Kennedy when she arrived in town to teach with her friend Lucille Thorstenson (who later married Bill’s brother David). They were married on August 16, 1957. They settled in a home on the original Deitz homestead and took up

NORTHCOTT, Janetta (Osler) – July 16, 1921 – August 26, 2020. Having celebrated 99 years of life, Janetta passed into heaven with family at her side.

A farm wife, a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she passed with peace and dignity. Married to Harold for 74+ years, Janetta was the second of 3 children, born in Bassano to Bill and Ann (Nettie) Osler, and lived most of her life on her parents’ homestead near Milo, AB.

Kiemele, Leonard Samuel, of Vulcan (formerly of Milo), beloved husband of Irene, passed away peacefully at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on August 21, 2020 at the age of 83 years.

Leonard was born October 6, 1936 in Bassano, AB to George and Sadie Kiemele, the oldest of 6 children. His siblings were Grace, Irene, Marie, Charlie and Leona. They also had 11 half brothers and sisters from previous marriages.

Leonard received his formal education in Majorville and Milo schools. He was always a hard worker and besides farming at his home, he worked for several neighbors. He and a friend harvested

Chuck passed away peacefully after having the opportunity to said goodbye to all of his loved ones on August 11, 2020.

Chuck was born in Holland on September 17, 1935. He came to Canada when he was just 12 years old and resided in Ontario with his family. He decided to venture to Western Canada with his best friend Raymond at the age of 16. Chuck returned to Ontario before coming back to settle in Alberta with his two brothers, John and Hank. He always had many stories to tell of his road trip from Ontario to Alberta.

Telford Delwyn Dixon passed away surounded by his family at Vulcan Community Health Centre, Vulcan, Alberta August 5, 2020, at the age of 76 years. He was born October 16, 1943 near Makaroff and grew up in Grand Narrows district of Manitoba, eldest son of Joan and John Dixon. He shared his place in the family with two older sisters, two younger sisters and four younger brothers. Branden, Richard Wayne, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Deb, passed away suddenly at home on July 9, 2020 at the age of 59 years.Born Sept. 14 1960   in Ottawa, Ontario,  Richard traveled with his parents until landing in the Lomond area where the family farmed for many years.   He then made his way to Vulcan where he started work with the CP Railway. He met and married Deb and they moved to Lethbridge to raise 2 beautiful children,  Lukis & Jazmin.

Caldwell, Eileen of Champion, passed away peacefully at the Dulcina Hospice in Calgary on July 7, 2020 at the age of 96 years and 10 months.

Eileen is survived by her daughter, Marie Greaves of Airdrie as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many good friends. On Saturday, June 20, 2020, Anna Deimert was called home to be with her Lord at the age of 91.

Anna Deimert was born on April 27, 1929 in Saskatchewan. Ann met Louie Deimert at Weyburn while she was working at the Provincial Hospital. He was the love of her life and they were soon married on July 29, 1951.

Ann and Louie decided to make a career change in 1967 when they moved to the Vulcan area to start a farming operation. They were very active in the Evangelical Church in Vulcan and Louie went on two mission trips to Haiti

Glowa, Marguerite Lela, beloved wife of the late Frederick Glowa of Carmangay, passed away in Calgary June 18, 2020 at the age of 95 years.

Marguerite was born in Cardston, Alberta and schooled in the small town of Kathryn. She was the oldest of seven children. Her father was a teacher and that started a life-time love of reading and learning.
