Sokvitne, Muriel May of Vulcan, beloved wife of the late Leonard Sokvitne, passed away at Vulcan Extendicare December 25, 2022 at the age of 97 years.
Loving mother of son Garry of Lomond, his daughter Lisa Libel and her daughters Kate and Ava Libel all of Calgary.
Muriel was born in Oregon on May 5, 1925 and traveled with her family to Alberta. She attended Green Prairie, the boarding school in Armada, Calgary and Lomond Schools. Doreen was born & raised on a small dairy farm, Shropshire, England, the second daughter of Henry and Catherine (Molly) Foulkes. At 11, Doreen’s father died & the family moved to the hamlet of Pentre, and later to Nesscliffe village.
