Ivo Erwin Love of Vulcan, passed away peacefully July 18, 2002 at Vulcan Community Health Centre surrounded by his family at the age of 85 years.
Ivo was born January 6, 1917 at Vulcan, Alberta to Thomas and Bertha Love. He attended the Red Cross school from grade one through eight. Following his education he worked on the family farm assisting his father until purchasing his own property at the Corner Store. David “Dave” Schierman, was called home to his Lord and Saviour, surrounded by his family on Sunday June 23, 2002 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 81 years.
Dave was born July 29, 1920 at Eva, Alberta to John and Mary Schierman. As a young boy he moved with his family to Calgary, where they resided for a short time prior to moving to Queenstown, where he spent the next thirteen years. Ralph Gerald Ensign, formerly of Carmangay, passed away Saturday June 15, 2002 at his home in Peter Dawson Lodge, Vulcan at the age of 79 years.
Ralph was born May 6, 1923 at Retlaw, Alberta to George and Rose Ensign. He attended a small County school by Picture Butte and received his high schooling in Picture Butte. On completion of his education he worked on the family farm at Barrhill for a short time, prior to joining the Army during WWII. Audrey Augusta Thompson, of Milo, Alberta passed away at Bassano Hospital June 14, 2002 at the age of 86 years.
Born June 25, 1915 on the family farm southwest of Milo, only daughter of Charles and Rosa Anderson. She attended Lake McGregor and Kirkdale schools.
Audrey married Chester Thompson on March 2, 1938 and lived on the family farm until October, 1995, when she moved to her home in Milo.

George Roberts, of Arrowwood, Alberta passed away May 19, 2002 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 94 years.
George was born in Eltham Kent, England to Rose and Arthur Roberts November 23, 1907. He came to Canada in 1911 with his family and settled in Gleichen. In 1916, his sister Tamson was born, and their lives changed forever when his father was killed in World War I. At the age of 10 George sold newspapers, worked in the post office and service station after school and on weekends to earn money.

HOLOBOFF, Joseph “Joe” Jr. 1953 – 2002

Joseph Jr. “Joe”Holoboff, of Milo, passed away suddenly May 14, 2002 at home, at the age of 48 years.
Joe was born November 8, 1953 at Bassano, the youngest son of Joseph and Anne Holoboff. He attended Arrowwood school for grades one through nine and completed his high school in Vulcan. After high school he attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary where he took a welding course. He then began apprenticing for Seismic Service supplies in Calgary where he worked until the spring of 1974, when he returned home to help on the farm.

On September 10, 1936 Gerald was born to Arthur and Nellie Grenier on the family farm in Cowansville, Quebec.
Gerald married Dorothy Davis in July 5, 1957 at Richford, Vermont. Gerald worked at the Roxton furniture plant until he opened his own pizzeria in Knowlton, Quebec. Arnold Norman “Norm”Reynolds, of Milo, Alberta passed away May 12, 2002 at the High River Hospital at the age of 70 years.
Norm was born July 10, 1931 at Old Ridge, New Brunswick to Harry and Jessie Reynolds. He attended the Blackland School until grade eight. Following his education he worked in the woods near his home, cutting pulp wood, Christmas trees and logging using horses. In the spring of 1952 he came out west working in the Nanton and Vulcan areas then returned to New Brunswick. The following year, he returned and started worked for Tom Houlton on the farm
