FRASER, Henry Alexander “Bud” 1933 – 2004
Henry Alexander “Bud” Fraser , beloved husband of Joan, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2004 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 70 years after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Henry was born on the old Milliken farm east of Carmangay on June 4, 1933, along with his twin sister Henrietta, to Richard and Gertrude Fraser. He attended Carmangay School till Grade 9 at which time he began working on the family farm.
Henry met Joan Mary Butcher, a nurse from Liverpool, England, and they were married on July 5, 1958. They lived on a farm near

MARTHA KURTZ formerly of Champion passed away on February 4, 2004 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 93 years.
Martha was born to Jacob and Anna Klein in Brunnental, Russia on September 8, 1910. Her family immigrated to the United States when Martha was two and then to Canada in 1918. They resided in the Champion area. Martha attended Yale School and Washington School and attended school until grade 12. She then started working doing housework.

IRWIN, Helen Josephine 1915 – 2004

HELEN JOSEPHINE IRWIN of Vulcan passed away peacefully on January 30, 2004 at Vulcan Community Health Centre after a lengthy illness at the age of 88 years.
Helen was born in Vulcan on November 4, 1915. She grew up on the family farm northwest of Vulcan and attended Derry School. She was an honor student and was very good at sports. After finishing school Helen worked at several housekeeping jobs in the Ensign area, working for the Williams family and Mrs. Dobbs. She left the farm to attend Three Hills Bible School where she studied Theology.
KING, Elma Kathyrn 1912 – 2004
Elma Kathryn King, formerly of the Arrowwood district passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre, Long Term Care Unit, where she resided for the past four years. January 27, 2004 at the age of 91 years.
Elma will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her three sons Glen of Innisfail, Roy (Gail) and Gordon (Lois) all of Arrowwood, thirteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Myra King of Calgary, numerous nieces and nephews.

Constantino “Tino” Pasolli, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2004 at his home at the age of 80 years.
Tino was born in Cavedine, Italy on July 15, 1923, the second son of Evaristo and Maria Pasolli. He immigrated to Canada in 1925 to the Hardieville area. In 1932 the family moved to the Reid Hill District where Evaristo co-owned a coal mine. Tino and his brothers Livio and Sev worked in the mine until they closed in 1968. In the late 1940’s the Pasolli family started in the farming business which Tino took on as his sole livelihood after leaving the

Kathy was born September 12, 1928 at King’s Street, Plymouth England to Edward and Rosa Mabel Jane Brown (nee Cunningham). She attended Camel’s Head School from the age 3 to 14 until she felt it necessary to leave school to help support her family. Kathy later returned to night school to complete her grade 12. Freeda Maxine Maisey died January 2, 2004 at the age of 94 years, at the Vulcan Community Health Centre.
Freeda was born February 20, 1909 in Garwin, Iowa to Herman and Shada Dunbar. In 1917 Freeda, her parents, two sisters and two brothers came to Canada by train so her father could work for Frank Maiden. She attended Thigh Hill, Harvey and Vulcan schools. In 1923 the family returned to the United States. Because of a bad investment, the family returned to Alberta to work on the Maiden farm.
