Edith Mabel Warren (nee Williams) passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Center on January 29, 2023, at the age of 93. She lived a full life and was very independent, living in her own home along the golf course.
Edith’s family was most important to her. Edith married Hubert on October 29, 1948, settling on the farm west of Champion. The “Fireguard” bunch raised children together, travelled together and had lots of fun at community events. Edith was a truck, combine and tractor operator in their early years of farming. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Andrew Armstrong at the Palliative Care unit at St. Michael’s Care Center on January 19, 2023 at the age of 79 years.
David was born on February 23,1943, in Vulcan, AB, second child of Earl and Alberta Armstrong. He and his siblings were raised in Lomond, AB. David joined the R.C.A.F. and served for 5 years before returning to the Lomond area where he farmed for over 40 years. He retired from farming and relocated to Lethbridge in 2011.

The family of Henry Arthur (Art) Dyck are saddened to announce his passing on January 17, 2023 in Champion, Alta.
Art is survived by his four sons – Gerry (Deb), Rod (Arlis), Reg (Kim) and Calvin Dyck; two granddaughters, Carly (Josh), Ana (Will); two grandsons, Dusty, and Shawn; four great granddaughters, Alexa, Remi, Isla and Sophia; three sisters, Marilyn, Ivy, and Viola, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Mary Dyck and older brother John.
