It is with profound sadness that the family of Ian McLeod Jaquish of Vulcan, Alberta announces his sudden passing at home on January 2, 2025, at the age of 73 years.
Ian was born June 29, 1951, at Calgary, Alberta. He was raised in Calgary and educated at Crescent Heights High School.
Ian’s early years were spent exploring the undeveloped fields of northeast Calgary with friends.  He particularly enjoyed spending time camping throughout western Canada with his family.  Much of his leisure time was spent playing baseball and hockey where he played on several city and provincial championship teams.  He developed an

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend Ervin Nelson. He was the second child to David and Ethel Nelson of Wishart SK and is survived by his loving wife, Colleen, of 56 years and 2 children Ryan(Joy) Nelson of Killarney, MB, Amy(Noel) Flitton of Champion, AB and his grandchildren Dylan, Lexie, Annabelle and Aubrey. He is also survived by his older sister Lavina Dick of Kamloops BC and younger brothers Barry (Linda) Nelson of Regina, SK and Garth (Edith) Nelson of Saskatoon, SK.

JORDAN, (CONSTANCE) JEAN
Mom passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 4, 2025 at the age of 92. She is now resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior with no more worries.
Mom was born June 7, 1932 in Champion Alberta to Norman and Myrtle Patterson.  She was raised in Champion with her sister Donna and brother Doug.  She took her teacher training in Calgary in 1951 and taught in Carmangay, Vulcan and Champion through the years. When she retired from teaching she worked with Dad on their farm west of Champion.

Doris Clements passed away peacefully at South Health Campus on February 26, 2025 at the age of 99 years.
Doris was born on April 9, 1925 to Joe and Sarah Davenport in Cluny AB.  She lived on the family farm NE of Cluny along with her three brothers and two sisters. Doris attended school in Cluny, she travelled to school by horse, wagon or sleigh.
Doris married Lawrence Clements in 1950 after dating for a few years prior.  They first lived in High River and then in 1951 moved to Milo AB.  They had two children – Darlene and Larry.

Danny Guenther
Sept. 10, 1968 – Mar. 1, 2025
It is with heavy hearts, with so much love, we announce the passing of our beloved brother and uncle, Danny Guenther.
He is survived by his brother Barry (Aggie), his beloved nephew Cody (Christy & Sox), brother Brian and sister Tami (Dan).
Danny was the Sunshine in our family. He will be remembered as a fun-loving and gentle soul with a big smile, his compassion for others and his love for his family.
Danny was predeceased by his parents Ben and Annette Guenther and his beloved nephew Cory Guenther.

Mallory, Mary Patricia (1931-2025)
Mary was born in Toronto on St. Patrick’s Day. She would excel at school and go on to earn a BA and BSW from U of T and a Master ‘s in Social Work from McGill. She worked for Children’s Aid Society in York County prior to moving West where she continued her social work with the Government of Alberta. Mary would later sit on the University of Calgary Senate.
In 1966, she would marry Don and move to Kirkcaldy. It was a bit of a culture shock at first, but she soon found herself participating in Kirkcaldy

Chris was born June 1st, 1980, in Cowansville, Quebec, the younger son of Jeannette LeBlanc of Shediac, New Brunswick, and Michael Stone of Knowlton, Quebec.
Throughout his life, Chris built up businesses that were testaments to his passions and tremendous talents. First, as a stone mason, he created monumental designs that were a tribute to his creative ingenuity. Brock was born on November 25, 1949 in Vulcan, Alberta, and passed away suddenly on February 7, 2025 in Grande Prairie, Alberta at the age of 75 years.
Brock was a cowboy at his core. He loved horses, horse-back riding and the outdoors. His style and character revealed his western heart. He loved to tell stories, as those who knew him can remember. He was a determined and stubborn man, as well as a hardworking and resilient individual. He enjoyed his work and the friends he made there.

The family of Mark Fath of Vulcan are extremely saddened to announce that Mark passed away suddenly at home on January 3, 2025, at the age of 68 years.
Mark was born in Vulcan, AB on January 24, 1956, eldest son of Robert and Joyce Fath. He received his schooling in Champion and Vulcan before attending Lethbridge Community College for a short period of time before returning to the family farm.
Mark married Barb James in October 1983 and together they raised two children – Ashlee and Tyler. They lived west of Champion on the Fireguard Road where they farmed and resided

Reinhard W. “Reno” Bexte of Strathmore (formerly of Mossleigh), beloved husband of Lydia, passed away at the Strathmore Hospital on December 30, 2024 at the age of 83 years.
Reno was born June 12, 1941 in Freischlag, Germany, to Bernhard and Anna Bexte. His family emigrated to Canada in 1953, settling in Picture Butte. In 1959, they left Picture Butte and arrived in the Arrowwood area. Like his brothers, he worked for farmers needing help, and for some years, worked for B&B (Beagle and Bexte) Service at Arrowwood.
