AGNES ELLEN MILLER PASSED AWAY AT THE LITTLE BOW AUXILIARY HOSPITAL, CARMANGAY, ALBERTA ON NOVEMBER 9, 1991 AT THE AGE OF 93 YEARS.
AGNES WAS BORN JULY 23, 1898 AT GRANDON, NORTH DAKOTA. SHE CAME WITH HER FAMILY TO DAVIDSON, SASKATCHEWAN WHERE SHE WORKED AT THE POST OFFICE, THE BANK AND SHE MET AND MARRIED CLIFFORD MILLER IN 1922. THEY CAME TO THE CHAMPION AREA TO FARM IN 1937, THEN IN 1948 THEY LEFT THE FARM TO BEGIN A BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP WITH MARTIN H. MATLOCK IN A SERVICE STATION IN CHAMPION WHICH CONCLUDED IN 1962.
AGNES WAS ALWAYS VERY ACTIVE WITHIN THE COMMUNITY – AS A MEMBER OF THE CHAMPION LADIES AID, WOMEN’S INSTITUTE AND HER CHURCH.
BELOVED MOTHER OF THREE DAUGHTERS – FRANCES (DATE) STEWART OF RED DEER, MARGARET MILLER AND EDITH (HERB) JOSEPH OF EDMONTON, FIVE GRANDCHILDREN, FIVE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, NUMEROUS NIECES AND NEPHEWS.
SHE WAS PREDECEASED BY HER HUSBAND CLIFFORD IN JUNE 1972, FIVE BROTHERS, THREE SISTERS AND HER PARENTS.
FUNERAL SERVICE WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13 AT 1:00 P.M. AT THE CHAMPION EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH WITH PASTOR ANDY BLACK OFFICIATING. INTERMENT, ARCHMOUNT CEMETERY, LETHBRIDGE, AB AT 3:30 P.M.
