JAMES CLARENCE “JIM” MCCLUSKEY FORMERLY OF LACOMBE, PASSED AWAY SUDDENLY AT ROCKY VIEW HOSPITAL, CALGARY FEBRUARY 20, 1998 AT THE AGE OF 55 YEARS.
JIM WAS BORN JUNE 24, 1942 AT GRAND FALLS, NEW BRUNSWICK. HE MARRIED KATHLEEN “KAY” NORTHEY ON JUNE 13, 1964. THEY RESIDED IN OKOTOKS FOR MANY YEARS WHERE JIM WAS EMPLOYED WITH ROBERT HUNT CORPORATION, WELDWOOD AND VARIOUS OTHER COMPANIES. HE MOVED HIS FAMILY TO LACOMBE WHERE HE BEGAN HIS OWN BUSINESS OF SUNWOOD WINDOWS AND DOORS LTD. WHICH HE HAS CONTINUED TO OPERATE UNTIL HIS PASSING.
JIM LOVED HIS FAMILY, HE ESPECIALLY ENJOYED WATCHING HIS CHILDREN PARTICIPATE IN SPORTS AND WAS AN AVID SPORTS FAN. JIM WAS A MEMBER OF THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION FOR MANY YEARS.
JIM IS SURVIVED BY HIS LOVING WIFE KAY, A SON DICK AND HIS WIFE HOLLY ALL OF LACOMBE, TWO DAUGHTERS DEANY (HER SPECIAL FRIEND MARK) OF TURNER VALLEY AND NICOLE (KEN) TUCKER OF OKOTOKS, TWO GRANDCHILDREN AUSTIN AND LEXIE, HIS MOTHER RUTH, HIS GRANDMOTHER LILLIAN COWELL BOTH OF BLACK DIAMOND, A BROTHER DAVE (ANN) MCCLUSKEY, A BROTHER-IN-LAW ALLAN (MARGARET ANN), THREE SISTERS-IN-LAW DIANA, BONNIE (EARL) AND SHELLI (JOE), NUMEROUS NIECES AND NEPHEWS.
JIM WAS PREDECEASED BY HIS TWIN SONS HARRY AND ELMER, TWO BROTHERS PAUL AND BURTON.
FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO MEET TUESDAY FEBRUARY 24, 1998 AT 7 P.M. FOR PRAYERS AT ST. MICHAEL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, BLACK DIAMOND.
FUNERAL MASS ALSO AT ST. MICHAEL’S WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 25 AT 11 A.M. WITH FR JACK BASTIGAL CELEBRANT.
INTERMENT TO FOLLOW IN THE FOOTHILLS CEMETERY, BLACK DIAMOND.
