MCCALLUM, WRAY WILLIS, PASSED AWAY AT VULCAN, ALBERTA MAY 28, 1997 AT THE AGE OF 77 YEARS.
WRAY WAS BORN MAY 12, 1920 AT QUEENSTOWN, ALBERTA. HE ATTENDED SCHOOL AT BOTH QUEENSTOWN AND CALGARY TECHNICAL SCHOOL. IN 1943 HE ENLISTED IN THE CANADIAN ARMOURED REGIMENT, WHERE HE SERVED IN THE EUROPEAN
THEATRE OF WAR AND ALSO IN NORTH AFRICA. HE RETURNED HOME IN 1945. WRAY MARRIED HELEN TRAVERS OF GLASGOW, SCOTLAND IN DECEMBER OF 1946. HE HAS FARMED AT QUEENSTOWN ALL OF HIS LIFE. HE RETIRED AND THEY MOVED TO VULCAN IN 1993. IN 1997 WRAY MOVED INTO VULCAN EXTENDICARE WHERE HE HAS RESIDED SINCE.
BELOVED HUSBAND OF MRS. HELEN MCCALLUM OF VULCAN, LOVING FATHER OF FIVE DAUGHTERS JOYCE (DON) BEAGLE OF ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOUSE, GRACE (ERIC) McKAY OF VULCAN , RHONDA (EARL) EDWARDS OF PICTURE BUTTE, JANICE (HUGH) CAMPBELL OF VULCAN AND SHARI (DAN) GREENE OF CARMANGAY, TWO SONS GLENN OF MILO AND IAN (DENISE) OF LOMOND, TWELVE GRANDCHILDREN, A BROTHER, NUMEROUS NIECES AND NEPHEWS.
A PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICE WAS HELD WITH INURNMENT AT HOPE LUTHERAN CEMETERY, MILO. FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO MEET WITH THE FAMILY AT THE MILO
COMMUNITY HALL, FOR A TIME OF FELLOWSHIP TUESDAY JUNE 3, 1997 FROM 2 – 4 P.M.
