WARREN DOUGLAS MARONDA, OF LOMOND, ALBERTA PASSED AWAY NOVEMBER 17, 2001 AT CALGARY, ALBERTA AT THE AGE OF 38 YEARS.
WARREN WAS BORN MAY 28, 1963 AT BROOKS, ALBERTA TO DARRELL AND JOYCE MARONDA. HE RECEIVED ALL HIS SCHOOLING IN LOMOND AND THEN WORKED ON THE FAMILY FARM AND FOR BATALDEN TRUCKING. IN 1986 HE MARRIED DANNIE McEATHRON AND IN 1993 THE UNION ENDED. IN 1994 HE MOVED TO WRENTHAM WHERE HE WORKED FOR KUBIK SEED FARMS. WARREN RETURNED TO THE FARM IN 1996 WHERE HE HAS CONTINUED TO RESIDE EVER SINCE.
IN HIS YOUNGER DAYS HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE 4H CLUB, HE ALSO ENJOYED PLAYING BASEBALL AND MINOR HOCKEY, EVENTUALLY PLAYING WITH THE LOMOND LAKERS. WARREN ALSO ENJOYED HUNTING AND WATCHING BOXING AND RODEO. HIS TRUE PASSION IN LIFE WAS HORSES AND WHILE LIVING AT WRENTHAM HE SPENT HIS SPARE TIME AT THE KRONKITE TRAINING CENTRE BY STERLING BREAKING HORSES.
LOVING FATHER OF A SON MICHAEL MARONDA, BELOVED SON OF DARRELL AND JOYCE MARONDA ALL OF LOMOND, TWO SISTERS SHELLEY MARONDA OF CLARESHOLM, CHERYL (RICK) BLANCHETTE AND THEIR DAUGHTERS BAILEY AND MORGAN ALL OF LOMOND, AND HIS GRANDMOTHER ANNA STANNARD OF LETHBRIDGE.
WARREN WAS PREDECEASED BY HIS GRANDPARENTS FRED AND VIOLA MARONDA AND FLOYD STANNARD.
FUNERAL SERVICE SATURDAY NOVEMBER 24, 2001 AT 1:00 P.M. AT THE BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH, LOMOND WITH REV. ED SUMMERS OFFICIATING.
