Love, Heather Janette beloved wife of the late Allen Kenneth Love passed away peacefully February 20, 2009 at Vulcan Extendicare, at the age of 70 years.
Heather was born January 20, 1939 at Carmangay, Alberta to Richard and Gertrude Fraser. In 1965 she married Allen Love and had two daughters Cathy and Debby. Due to health problems Heather moved to the Ridgeview Lodge at Raymond. From there she moved to Fort Macleod for a short time and then to Vulcan Extendicare in 2007.
In the early years Heather enjoyed camping with family and friends and playing cards. She also loved to crochet and made beautiful doilies. Heather loved old time music and could listen to it for hours. She enjoyed her life and her family, especially her granddaughter Pheonix, very much. Heather always enjoyed the annual family get-togethers to visit with family and play poker.
Heather is survived by two daughters Cathy Love, Debby (Carl) Dempster, granddaughter Pheonix Dempster, sister Evelyn Root, brother William “Bill” (Linda) Fraser, four sisters in-law Joan Fraser, Gina Fraser, Linda Love, Faye Reed, a brother-in-law Ralph Love, aunt Alberta Locken, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Heather is predeceased by her husband Allen, two brothers Henry Fraser, Cliff (Laura) Fraser, three sisters Betty Greene, Dolly (Jim) O’Connor, Henrietta Fraser, brother-in-law Jasper Root, Father and Mother in-law Ivo (Gladys) Love and her parents.
Funeral Service was held Wednesday February 25, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Carmangay Community Centre with Elder Mayne Root officiating.
Casket bearers were Darren Fraser, Ken Asplund, Brian Ensign, Danny Root, Terry Ensign and Phil Fraser.
Interment Carmangay Cemetery.
