LEVER, Rosa  1922 – 2004

Rosa Lever passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at Lethbridge at the age of 82 years after a brief illness.

Rosa was born in Vigo Cavedine, Trento, Italy on June 1, 1922 to Virginio and Carlotta Cristofolini. She was married to Angelo Lever in 1942. Seeking a better future for their family, Angelo emigrated to Canada in 1952 and in 1953 Rosa and their three children joined him in the Champion area. Following the death of her husband in 1983, Rosa relocated to Lethbridge.

Her love of family was first and foremost and she will be dearly missed by her two daughters Carla Erdman of Lethbridge, Rita (Ron) Gaida of Hanna, two sons Greg (Eunice) of Airdrie, Walter (Pat) of Kelowna, BC , ten grandchildren Lee (Brad), Stephen (Viv) and Laura Erdman; Bradley (Tanya), Suzanne, Richard and James Gaida; Chris (Dianne) Lever; Angela (Chris) Kuefler; Brendan (Tanja) Brabender and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Federico (Dosolina) Cristofolini, a sister-in-law Giuseppina Patton, numerous nieces and nephews in Italy.

Rosa was predeceased by her husband Angelo, a grandson Craig Lever and three brothers Angelo, Gerardo and Albino Cristofolini.

Mass of a Christian burial Monday, August 23, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Champion with Rev. Fr. Benedicto Marino officiating.

Casket bearers were Rosa’s grandchildren.

Internment Champion Catholic Cemetery.
