Peter Paul Krieger, beloved husband of Karin, passed away peacefully with his family by his side following a lengthy battle with cancer on January 13, 2008 at Vulcan Community Health Centre and the age of 66 years.
Peter was born on June 24, 1941 at Königsberg, Germany to Artur and Herta Krieger. As a journeyman carpenter, Peter immigrated to Toronto in 1960 where he met the love of his life, Karin Deskau, and they were married the following year. Together they raised two daughters Martina and Christiana. As an avid outdoors man, Peter “insisted” that the family also enjoy camping, fishing and “mainly” hunting. The family traveled extensively which eventually led them to Alberta in 1976. They found the perfect hunting grounds at Ensign in the County of Vulcan.
Peter is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Karin, loving father of two daughters Martina Krieger of Winnipeg, Christiana (Cam) Frederickson and their two daughters Carley and Angela of Lethbridge.
Peter was predeceased by his parents, a brother Hubertus and his much cherished granddaughter Paige K. Frederickson.
At Peter’s request, a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
