KRANZLER, Lillian “Lily”  1919 – 2008

Kranzler, Lillian “Lily”, beloved wife of the late Ernie Kranzler, passed away peacefully December 1, 2008 at Little Bow Continuing Care Center at the age of 88 years.

Lily was born December 24, 1919 in South Russia to Adam and Helena Krause.  The family immigrated to Canada when she was three.  They lived in Burstall, Saskatchewan where Lily attended school for Grades 1-8.  Lily moved to Carbon and was working in the food service industry when she met Ernie.  They were married on October 29, 1937.  In 1941 Ernie and Lily moved to Champion.  When Champion School was built, Lily started working for the County as the school janitor.  She worked there until her retirement in 1984.

Lily was an active member of the Champion Drop-in Centre and she loved to play bingo.  Lily also took many trips to Abbotsford, BC to visit her brother.

Beloved mother of Stan (Barb) their children Stacey, Allan (Brieanna); Bryan (Roz) their children Kyrstal (Tim),  Kevin; Marlene (Alan) their daughter Kara; Lynn Kranzler (Glenn Ager), four great grandchildren, brother Alvin (Georgine), five sisters-in-law Ella Kranzler, Nora Lebsack, Ethel Krause, Freda Shaurer and Edna Kranzler, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lily was predeceased by her husband Ernie in 1993, brother Alfred, her parents, numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and other relatives.

Funeral service Friday December 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Champion Congregational Church with Pastor Amber Jordan officiating.

Casket bearers Lloyd Kranzler, Kris Perman, Lorne Mueller, Keith Mueller, Kevin Kranzler and Tim Bochan.

Interment Champion Cemetery.
