Travis Andrew Koskela of Vulcan passed away suddenly December 28, 2002 at Brooks, Alberta at the age of 13 years.
Travis was born February 1, 1989 at Lethbridge, Alberta to Gary and Elaine Koskela. He received his schooling at Hazel Cameron Elementary School and was attending grade seven at County Central High School in Vulcan. Travis loved his family and friends. He especially enjoyed time shared with his nieces and nephews. He would often play out in the back yard with them and on numerous occasions babysat them. He also enjoyed staying at his grandmother’s house, where they shared quality time and spent time out on the golf course. For several years Travis delivered the Lethbridge Herald to the residents of Vulcan.
Being a typical teen-anger he enjoyed spending time with his friends and had a great sense of humor. Travis had many interests including camping, riding
go-carts and even had the desire to build his own motorized cart one day. His true passion though was bike riding. He built several trailers to pull behind him on his bike. He also enjoyed helping his brother with his Demo Car, going to Calaway Park each year and taking his favorite ride the roller-coaster. This past summer he had a blast at Whoop-Up Days in Lethbridge.
Travis was a member of the Vulcan Cubs and Scouts and was very involved with the youth group in the community.
Beloved son of Gary and Elaine Koskela of Vulcan, loving sister Tanya (Barry) Kittleson and their children Devon and Kane all of High River, two brothers Jason (Kim) and their daughter Jordyn all of Red Cliffe, Chris (Amber) and their children Damian, Seth and Kaylee all of Vulcan, his grandmother Muriel Koskela of Brooks, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Travis was predeceased by his grandparents Jim and Ellen Dougan and Bill Koskela.
