HERMANN, RUTH ADELINE PASSED AWAY AT VULCAN, ALBERTA NOVEMBER 6, 1995 AT THE AGE OF 86 YEARS.

RUTH WAS BORN FEBRUARY 15, 1909 AT LaCROSSE , WISCONSIN, A SECOND DAUGHTER OF JOHN AND ADELINE REDMAN. SHE ATTENDED SCHOOL IN LaCROSSE WHERE ALSO LEARNED TO ROLLER SKATE, ON HER MOTHERS HARDWOOD FLOOR IN THE KITCHEN. IT WAS ONE OF HER FAVORITE PASTIMES.

SHE WENT ON TO TEACHERS COLLEGE AND HER FIRST SCHOOL HAD EIGHT GRADES, IN ONE ROOM. RUTH, HER MOTHER AND BROTHER CAME TO VISIT FRIENDS IN CANADA FOR ABOUT A MONTH. RUTH ATTENDED A DANCE AT REID HILL WERE SHE MET EVERETT HERMANN. HE CAME DOWN TO WISCONSIN A FEW TIMES AND WHEN HE CAME AT CHRISTMAS TIME THEY WERE MARRIED IN DECEMBER 1938 AT WAUKON, IOWA. THEY RETURNED TO THE MILO DISTRICT. TOGETHER THEY FARMED IN THE MILO AREA, WERE RUTH DID A LITTLE SUBSTITUTE TEACHING AT MILO AND VULCAN WHERE SHE TAUGHT GRADES ONE THRU FOUR. IN 1950 THEY MOVED FROM THE FARM INTO VULCAN AND RUTH CONTINUED AS A SUBSTITUTE TEACHER IN VULCAN. THEN IN 1955 THE FAMILY MOVED BACK TO THE FARM AT MILO. WHEN THEY RETIRED THEY DID A LOT OF TRAVELLING. RUTH MOVED IN TO THE PETER DAWSON LODGE IN 1993 WHERE SHE HAS RESIDED SINCE.

BELOVED MOTHER OF TWO DAUGHTERS ELLEN (BILL) WATT AND SUE (JOHN) IVERS, A SON STEVE (MARCELLA) HERMANN ALL OF MILO, EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN DAVID AND DANIEL WATT, LESLIE (BRIAN) WINTERS, LISA (CODY) BEXTE, PHILLIP AND AARON IVERS, SHAUN BURDEYNY AND DEAN (CAROL) BURDEYNY, FOUR GREAT GRAND CHILDREN ERICA AND JULIA BEXTE, ALEX AND BLAIR WINTERS, ASHLEE AND TYLER BURDEYNY, A SISTER HELEN (DON) GRAFF OF NEW BAUNSFELDS, TEXAS, NUMEROUS NIECES AND NEPHEWS.

RUTH WAS PREDECEASED BY HER HUSBAND EVERETT IN 1982, HER MOTHER ADELINE STALEY IN 1981, AND A BROTHER BILL REDMAN IN 1981.

FUNERAL SERVICE AT MILO UNITED CHURCH FRIDAY NOVEMBER 10, 1995 AT 1:30 P.M. WITH DON HOLMES L.M. OFFICIATING.
