Kenneth Arthur (Ken) Grant of Vulcan, AB, beloved husband of Rhonda, peacefully passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on March 18,2021 at the age of 76 years.
Ken was born September 22,1944 in Cut Knife Saskatchewan to Gordon and Mary Grant. Ken married Rhonda Lawrence on June 26,1965 in Wilkie Saskatchewan.
Ken spent 32 years with Pioneer Grain as a Grain buyer and then District Manager. Ken and Rhonda lived in various parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta as Ken progressed in his career. During those times in Kyle, Oyen and Vulcan many good friendships were developed and enjoyed.
Ken enjoyed curling, camping and fishing. Ken and Rhonda loved any chance they got to watch their grandchildren play hockey, volleyball, soccer, baseball, figure skate and dance. Anything that involved getting together with family and friends and sharing a meal meant so much.
Besides his loving wife Rhonda, Ken is survived by his daughter Lottie Szakacs (Todd) and son Sheldon Grant (Heather Meehan), Grandchildren, Brittany Smith (Ben), Justin Faux (Karli), Melissa, Courtney, Toni and Great Granddaughter Hallie. He was predeceased by his Mother (Mary), Father (Gordon), Mother-in-Law (Peggy), Father-in-Law (Shorty), Sister-in-law (Henriette Lawrence) and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
Ken will be laid to rest with an immediate family only private service in April at the Vulcan Cemetery. Pastor Dan Cochrane of Red Deer Crossroads Church will officiate.
In Lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Vulcan Community Health Centre.
The Family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank you to the amazing team of nurses and doctors on the Palliative Unit. The care you gave Ken and the kindness and comfort you gave the Family will not be forgotten.

Dear Rhonda, Sheldon, Lottie and families. We are so saddened to hear of the loss of your loved one Ken.
We remember our meeting in Oyen and all the good times we had together ,especially our holiday south. As you folks moved west and we moved east our families became separated but our enjoyment of each other’s company kept us in touch.
Our sincere sympathy

Rhonda, Lottie and Sheldon. Our deepest condolences. Your family were a big part in our parent’s life after they retired and lived next to you in Vulcan. Howie and Lil spoke of you often and enjoyed living next to you. I know Ken will be greeted by them in the next life. Sending love and prayers to you at this time of grief.

Thinking of you with love as we will miss the visits & time we spent with you on our trips for the winter or coming home. Dave & Ken were quite a pair while they grew up!! Every they visited we would hear about something else we learned about them.
Thank you for your friendship & hopefully we will still be able to spend more time together. Wish you were closer for a hug–take care & may all your happy times together help to comfort you !! Hugs to all of you!!
