My sincere Sympathy to you Shirley and Families . Bruce was to me a staple of the Lomond Community , of what community meant . Always friendly , smile on his face , kind , always time for a quick chat . Interesting man with tidbits of info and anecdotes . Infectious laugh . Many times after fishing he would bring a fish, or two , up to Mom and Dad’s , always gutted and scaled . Tell of his fishing day , his life adventures , have a bottle of wine in hand to share with Dad and whomever else wanted some . He continued to bring Mom fish even after Dad passed in 1999 and regale us with his many and interesting escapades . A remarkable man and will remember him with fondness . I’m a privileged Lomondite to have known this man and his name brings a smile to my heart . Bruce will be missed . And remembered .

Bruce was a great neighbor and friend and had a great sense of humor . He’ll be missed . We always joked about grader operates and how things have changed over the years and how the neighborhood has changed over the years from when he grew up on the farm and we traveled everywhere on gravel and now it’s all paved

My sympathy goes out to Shirley, Deanna, and all members of The Gerhan family on the passing of Bruce! Although Bruce was almost a generation older than me there was always a connection. His parents Jack and Alice were some of my parent’s oldest and best friends. I had the pleasure of attending school with his sisters Fay and Elaine, and Loretta was my “next door” neighbour. Bruce kept our roads well maintained, and he and Shirley were always pleasant, kind and friendly! Bruce was a life long resident of Lomond, and all of us who knew him will miss him, and remember him fondly!

Many Prayers to you Shirley and to the whole family. Bruce was a great friend and fellow worker that is and always be well remembered. He was never a suit and tie sort of guy, but I can say no kinder gentleman have I ever meet in the world was Bruce. He was never without a smile, not once even on the coldest day and his laugh was like a school boy charm.
R.I.P. my friend, Gods Speed and Rest.
