FLEETWOOD, BERNICE IRENE – Bernice Irene (Borchert) Fleetwood passed away at Vulcan, Alberta on August 31, 2011.
Bernice was born November 30, 1913 at Drake, North Dakota and came with her family to the Carmangay area at the age of five months.
She married Alfred William Fleetwood Jr on June 25, 1945 and they lived on the Fleetwood Farm east of Champion until 1986, when they moved into the Village of Champion.
Bernice is survived by her daughter Judy, her grandchildren Catherine (Doyle) Dubois and Ryan (Christa) Smith, and her great granddaughter Brianna Dubois, one sister Hazel (Borchert) McAlpine, nieces and nephews, and many friends and neighbors.
A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, September 6th. at 1:30 P.M. at the Champion Community Hall, Champion, Alberta, with Sue MacDonald, D.M. officiating.
In lieu of flowers or if friends so desire, donations can be made to the Champion Community Association of your choice.
