Marie “Mary” Mathilde Hope – Rapp, of Vulcan passed away in the arms of her children on May 7, 2005 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 84 years.
Mary was born on October 11, 1920 at Tunis,Tunisia, North Africa to Louis and Thérèse Rosenlecker. Mary was noted for having pulled out of unstable Tunisia with a large family of eight. This included her first three children, Marie Catherine, John and Marie Claire Portail, their nanny Mrs. A. Grou, the grandmother Mrs. Rosenlecker, Mary’s brother-in-law Michel Portail and her husband-to-be Alain Hope-Rapp. She settled this

Gordon Walker  Ingraham of Arrowwood, Alberta  passed away suddenly at the Foothills Medical Centre Calgary on April 25, 2005 at the age of 70 years.
Gordon was born November 17, 1934 at Arrowwood, Alberta, the second son of Boyden and Helen Ingraham.  He attended school in Arrowwood and completed his high school at Mount Royal College in Calgary.  He returned to Arrowwood to farm with his father and brother Alan.  In 1959 Gordon obtained his pilots license.

Marjorie Doreen Robinson of Champion, Alberta passed away suddenly a short time following surgery on April 20, 2005 at the Foothills Hospital Calgary, Alberta at the age of 54 years.
Marj was born May 7, 1950 at Vulcan, Alberta to William and Charlotte Nolan.. She received her schooling in Vulcan. Marj married Arnie Robinson on September 6, 1969. She worked at various jobs over the years.

Florence Humphreys of Lomond, Alberta passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at Foothills Hospital in Calgary at the age of 88 years.
Florence was born May 2, 1916 at Gull Lake, Saskatchewan to Jacob and Louise Williams. She attended Grades 1-8 at Suffield School. At the age of 18, Florence left home to work at the White Lunch Cafe in Gull Lake. In 1939 she married Art Humphreys at Swift Current, Saskatchewan and they began their lives together. Into this union four children were born, three in Swift Current and one in Vulcan.

Kenneth C. Nelson beloved husband of Ethel of Vulcan, Alberta passed away peacefully April 16, 2005 at the Vulcan Extendicare.
Ken was born April 22, 1921 at Sexsmith, Alberta to Tom and Mary Nelson of Teepee Creek, Alberta.
Beside his wife Ethel, Ken is survived by his daughters Connie (Ward) Knight, Yvonne (Gordon) Lyon and Nancy (Rob) Graham, five grandchildren Leslie Knight, Darrel (Antoinette) Knight, Kandy Lyon, Kris Boivin and Kim Boivin, a great grandchild Terrin Lyon, a bother Fred Nelson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Janis “John” Kokaritis passed away at his home in Vulcan, Alberta April 12, 2005 following a lengthy illness at the age of 91 years.
John was born at Dugaupils, Latvia on July 21, 1913 to Joseph and Veronica Kokaritis. He moved to England after the second world war. Where attended night school to study civil engineering and carpentry, to be able to join the union. He moved to Montreal, Quebec in 1957 and worked his way across Canada, to Calgary, Milo and finally to Vulcan were he has resided since 1988. John married Janina Mukans October 8, 1941in Latvia.

Alexander “Alex” Schneider received his call “Come Home” early morning April 12, 2005 at the age of 94 years. He had been a resident of Vulcan Extendicare since January 28, 1999
Alex was born January 9, 1911 to Henry and Kathrina (Schleich) Schneider in Neu Messer, Russia.  It was a God-honoring home.  The family immigrated to the United States, arriving in Boston, Massachusetts when Alex was 20 months old.  Their first residence was in Walla Walla, Washington, where other relatives had preceded them.  After a period of time, the family relocated to Ritzville, Washington, where Alex attended the schools and later
