Christiansen, Phillip Kent passed away January 3, 2009 at Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary at the age of 52 years.
Philip is survived by his father Svend and a brother Gordon.
He was predeceased by his mother Grete in 2004.
A service was held at a later date.

Lillian “Lil” Peterson formerly of Milo has lived the past 13 years at the Peter Dawson Lodge until her passing December 30, 2008 at the tender age of 97. Family and friends who have been fortunate enough to have her as part of our lives will miss her dearly.
She was married on September 12, 1936 to Conrad Peterson who predeceased her in April of 1996. Together they raised 3 children: Barry (wife Sheila), Jim (passed Jan ’02) (wife Dene) and Carol (husband Danny, passed Apr ’05) who went on to have families of their own, giving them 9 grandchildren and

Volesky, Marvin Earle passed away peacefully  December 24, 2008 at Brooks Auxiliary Hospital the age of 83 years.
Marvin was born December 31, 1924 to Anton (Don) & Alice Volesky on the family farm east of Lomond. He attended school at Midway (just east of his farm) and after it closed in 1939, he along with his brother Verne attended school in Lomond.  Marvin served in the Royal Canadian Artillery from March 1944 until August 1946 and was stationed in Halifax. After being discharged, he bought the T.J. Armstrong farm where his brother Verne and his family lived for sixteen  years. 

Stephenson, William Edward “Scotty” passed away suddenly in a tragic accident December 20, 2008 at the age of 65 years.
Scotty was born September 23, 1943 at Northumberland, England to George and Bertha Stephenson.  He received all his education in England.  After he graduated, Scotty worked on a sheep farm in England.  He immigrated to Canada on September 27, 1983 and worked with his brother George in Calgary as a sheep farm laborer.  Scotty worked with his brother for five years, then went to work for Ward Willard for a few years.  He went on to work for Murray Markert as

Lahd, Jerry Grant, formerly of Milo, passed away suddenly due to complications from a long-standing heart condition on December 15, 2008 at Red Deer at the age of 47 years.
Jerry was born August 27, 1961 at Vulcan Alberta to Grant and Betty Lahd. He was raised in both Queenstown and Milo.  Jerry attended school in Milo and County Central High School at Vulcan.  After graduation, he enrolled in the Radio Broadcasting program at SAIT in Calgary.  Jerry moved to Red Deer in 1989 where he eventually founded his own business, Elite Fleet Courier (Red Deer) Ltd.  An avid sports fan,

McIntyre, Dorothy, beloved wife of the late Everett McIntyre, passed away  December 15, 2008 at Vulcan Continuing Care Centre at the age of 82 years.
Dorothy was born October 4, 1926 at Leader, Saskatchewan to Conrad and Mary Deal.  The family moved to the Reid Hill District in 1929.  She attended Marshal and Harmony Schools and graduated from Vulcan High School.  Dorothy attended Garbet Business School and worked for CIBC in Vulcan.  She also worked at the Evangelical Church in Vulcan as secretary for many years.  Dorothy married Everett McIntyre at Calgary on November 27, 1948.  They moved onto the McIntyre

Crabb, Emelia Juanita, beloved wife of the late Bruce Crabb, passed away December 10, 2008 at Little Bow Auxiliary Hospital at Carmangay at the age of 95 years.
Juanita was born at Kamloops, BC on December 29, 1912, the second child of Ingmar and Emelia Skatrud. The family moved to the Reid Hill District when Juanita was three years old. She attended Prospect Slope School and took one year at the Claresholm College in 1929.   Juanita met Bruce Crabb at a dance in 1932 and they were married on August 10, 1934.  They farmed in the Milo area many years and

Mason, Cecil Frederick “Bud” passed away December 9, 2008 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 68 years.
Bud will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 46 years Florence, his three children Charles (Brenda), Wendy, Patricia (Darrin), his grandchildren and great grandchildren, two sisters Ruby and Elaine, numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Ethel Mason.

Karman Marie Gooch of Arrowwood, Alberta passed away at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary, Alberta December 6, 2008 at the age of 23 years.
Karman was born May 20, 1985 at Vulcan, Alberta to Gordon and Terri Gooch.   From the moment she was born, she became a shining light and inspiration to everyone.  Karman could brighten the room with her smile and make all those around her feel good.  Her first heart surgery took place at four months and she never looked back. Kranzler, Lillian “Lily”, beloved wife of the late Ernie Kranzler, passed away peacefully December 1, 2008 at Little Bow Continuing Care Center at the age of 88 years.
Lily was born December 24, 1919 in South Russia to Adam and Helena Krause.  The family immigrated to Canada when she was three.  They lived in Burstall, Saskatchewan where Lily attended school for Grades 1-8.  Lily moved to Carbon and was working in the food service industry when she met Ernie.  They were married on October 29, 1937.  In 1941 Ernie and Lily moved to Champion.  When Champion School was built, Lily started
