Marsollier, Berthe Marie passed away May 8, 2009 at Vulcan Community Health Centre, Vulcan, Alberta at the age of 90 years.
Berthe was born On March 20th, 1919 to Alma L’Heureux and Honore (Henri)Alain of Delmas Saskatchewan. Berthe’s parents were early prairie pioneers. Her father was born in Quebec; her mother born in St. Boniface Winnipeg. When Bertha was 11 years old her parents moved to White Poplar (later renamed Veillardville) in the Hudson Bay area to homestead, where she learned to speak English with her many siblings. Haga, Omer passed away April 17, 2009 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 92 years.
Omer was born March 29, 1917 at Calgary, Alberta to Albert and Rose Haga. He attended Derry and Vulcan Schools. Omer helped out on the family farm and when he was 16, Omer moved to Crossfiled and worked at the OK Ranch for a short time. After the death of his father Albert in 1938, Omer returned home. He and his brother Lawrence helped their mother raise the family and took over the operations of the farm. Omer retired from farming at the

Middleton, Frank Blain, beloved husband and father passed away April 15, 2009 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 70 years..
Blain was born on February 20, 1939 at Vulcan, Alberta to Bob and Irma (Rannels) Middleton. His early years of school were at Kirkcaldy and he finished high school in Vulcan. Blain married Lynn (Spaeth) in 1960 and they began their married life on the family farm near Kirkcaldy. He loved to farm and his joy was driving the tractor or combine. Gentile, Joyce passed away at Vulcan Community Health Centre April 15, 2009 at the age of 87 years.
Joyce was born March 30, 1922 in Saskatchewan and has resided at the Peter Dawson Lodge for the past eight years where she enjoyed playing cards, recreational games, knitting and crocheting.

Fath, Pauline “Kay” of Champion passed away April 9, 2009 at the age of 54 years.
Kay was born October 16, 1954 in Cardston, Alberta to Cory and Patricia Graveland. She attended Del Bonita school and completed her high school in Magrath. Following grade twelve Kay worked for A.G.T. and also worked as a barmaid at the “Old” Legion Hall in Lethbridge.
In 1974 Kay married Graham Scattergood in Lethbridge and worked for an engraving company. Together they resided in Lethbridge and then moved to Picture Butte where she worked for an Insurance Company for a few years. In 1985 she moved

Clara Louise Kennedy of Vulcan, passed away March 29, 2009 in Lethbridge, Alberta, at the age of 93 years.
Clara is survived by two daughters Lorraine Buray, and Linda (Terry Underschultz), two sons Morley and Clayton, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1978, a son-in-law Rod, as sister and a brother.
Funeral service was held in Fort Saskatchewan on April 9, 2009 with interment following the service at the Fort Saskatchewan Cemetery.

GRAHAM, Kenneth George “Ken” 1924 – 2009

Kenneth George “Ken” Graham, passed away March 19, 2009 at Chinook Regional Hospital, Lethbridge, Alberta at the age of 84 years.
Ken was born on November 25, 1924 at Vulcan to Clifford and Leila Graham. and attended Vulcan schools. He decided at an early age that he wanted to farm so when the opportunity to purchase his Uncle Elmer’s farm arose, he took it. Ken never regretted that decision. He retired from farming two years ago. Ken also had a great love of family and looked after his mother for thirteen years until her passing.

BINNING, Keith Elton 1952 – 2009
Keith Elton Binning passed away March 2, 2009 at Rockyview Hospital at Calgary at the age of 56 years.
Keith was born June 15, 1952 at Carmangay, Alberta to Paul and Loretta Binning. He was the youngest of six children and raised on the farm west of Carmangay. Keith had a special bond with his brother Gary who was always his protector. He went on to become a carpenter and lived in Granum, Claresholm, Cold Lake, Vulcan and Champion.
Keith is survived by three brothers Gordon (Annette), Duane (Carolyn) and Gary, two sisters Karen (Ron) Fisher, Diane (Gary) Fisher and numerous nieces
