Orchard, Doris Annie of Vulcan passed away peacefully July 22,2012 at High River Nursing Home at the age of 98 years.
Doris was born at home on the farm east of Vulcan March 9, 1914. Her father Elbert Church McFall passed away when Doris was a child, so she was raised by her mother Maud Isabella Paul until she remarried Mitchell Hawkins. They became a happy family of Doris, Jean, Blanche, Harry, Mildred and Francis. They continued to resided on the farm east of Vulcan.

Ed Ivan Posein passed away July 17, 2012 at the Vulcan Community Health Center at the age of 71 years.
Ed was born Jan. 3, 1941 at Leduc, Alberta to William and Hilda Posein. He grew up on a mixed farm near Leduc. He moved to Edmonton and there met his beautiful and lovely wife, Marilyn McLeod. Ed worked various jobs in Edmonton and Leduc before moving to Queenstown in 1965, where they raised their 3 boys. Ed worked as manager of the Queenstown/Milo seed cleaning plant until his retirement in 2004.

Jean Ann Hartung passed away at home on Thursday, July 5, 2012. Jean Ann was born May 28, 1943 in Lethbridge, Alberta and lived her entire adult life in the Vulcan area.
God’s plan for this amazing woman was to touch many lives through her piano students, teaching Sunday School, playing the organ and piano for worship services, leading 4-H, enjoying showing her horses and being president of the Alberta Amateur Quarter Horse Assoc. Jean Ann always had an open door and a listening ear to neighbors and friends. Her favorite thing was to spend time with her family, especially her

​Webb, Robert “Bob” Henry William, born May 17, 1928 in Paynton, SK to Norman and Gladys Webb.
Bob is survived by son Martin Webb of Canmore, daughter Diana King of Calgary, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, companion Pearl Graveland of Lethbridge and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Elsie in 1997, daughter Linda Gagne, son Garth, brother Ivan and his parents.
Passed away June 27, 2012 at Vulcan Community Health Center at the age of 84 years.
Funeral service Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Vulcan Legion Hall (240 Sinclair Rd)  with Chaplin Carol Barwick officiating.

Tomporowski, Dale Vern, formerly of Arrowwood, passed away June 18, 2012 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 66 years.
Graveside Service Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Arrowwood Cemetery.

Laura Evelyn Stoddard was born August 31, 1929 in Sawyerville, Quebec to Rufus and Evelyn Riddell. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Harry in 2011.
Laura is survived by her 3 sons Bruce (Joyce) of Florida, Dave of Vulcan and Mark (Rhonda) of Calgary, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a brother James Riddell of Calgary and  numerous nieces and nephews.
Passed away June 14, 2012 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 82 years.
Funeral Service was held Monday, June 18, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at Vulcan United Church with Sue MacDonald DM officiating.

Schwormstede, Jutta, formerly of Carseland, passed away June 12, 2012 at Vulcan Extendicare at the age of 90 years.
