Leadbeater, Lois of Shouldice, AB, passed away suddenly on August 5, 2012 at home at the age of 73 years.
Lois was born on Sept 18, 1938 on the family farm 2 ½ miles east of Arrowwood to Stewart and Ella (Robinson) Hayes. She attended school at Arrowwood grades 1 to 11 and grade 12 in Cluny Central where she graduated. She was involved in Guiding as a young girl and later a Guide leader in Lethbridge. She then attended U of A, Edmonton for 2 years graduating as a Physio Therapist. After 3 years of work at St Mike’s hospital

Rybak, Anthony “Tony” of Vulcan, passed away August 3, 2012 in Calgary at the age of 78 years.
Memorial service Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Vulcan Extendicare with Marsha Willard leading.

Hart, Alice May, of Vulcan, passed away August 1, 2012 at the age of 91 years. May was born on August 31, 1920 in Bow Island to Thomas and Ellen Brooks.
Mom enjoyed dancing, playing cards, baking, and most of all visits with her grandchildren.
May is survived by two daughters Beth (Lee) Somerville of Vulcan, Pat Hart of Grande Prairie, 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, one brother Ken Brooks, one sister Kay Grover, both of Calgary, one brother-in-law Oliver Hart of Lomond, and numerous nieces and nephews. Fred Gunther Geschwendt, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend crossed over into eternity and into the loving arms of Jesus on July 30, 2012 at Medicine Hat Hospital at the age of 84.
Born to Hugo & Elizabeth Geschwendt October 10, 1927 in Vulcan Alberta. Fred was the only son, but he had an older sister Betty Roebuck, and a younger sister Melita Therrien. Orchard, Doris Annie of Vulcan passed away peacefully July 22,2012 at High River Nursing Home at the age of 98 years.
Doris was born at home on the farm east of Vulcan March 9, 1914. Her father Elbert Church McFall passed away when Doris was a child, so she was raised by her mother Maud Isabella Paul until she remarried Mitchell Hawkins. They became a happy family of Doris, Jean, Blanche, Harry, Mildred and Francis. They continued to resided on the farm east of Vulcan.

Ed Ivan Posein passed away July 17, 2012 at the Vulcan Community Health Center at the age of 71 years.
Ed was born Jan. 3, 1941 at Leduc, Alberta to William and Hilda Posein. He grew up on a mixed farm near Leduc. He moved to Edmonton and there met his beautiful and lovely wife, Marilyn McLeod. Ed worked various jobs in Edmonton and Leduc before moving to Queenstown in 1965, where they raised their 3 boys. Ed worked as manager of the Queenstown/Milo seed cleaning plant until his retirement in 2004.

Jean Ann Hartung passed away at home on Thursday, July 5, 2012. Jean Ann was born May 28, 1943 in Lethbridge, Alberta and lived her entire adult life in the Vulcan area.
God’s plan for this amazing woman was to touch many lives through her piano students, teaching Sunday School, playing the organ and piano for worship services, leading 4-H, enjoying showing her horses and being president of the Alberta Amateur Quarter Horse Assoc. Bob is survived by son Martin Webb of Canmore, daughter Diana King of Calgary, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, companion Pearl Graveland of Lethbridge and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Elsie in 1997, daughter Linda Gagne, son Garth, brother Ivan and his parents.
Passed away June 27, 2012 at Vulcan Community Health Center at the age of 84 years.
