Bernice Leslie, formerly of Mossleigh, passed away July12, 2012 at Vulcan Extendicare at the age of 89 years.
Bernice was born in Bassano, AB, one of 6 girls and 2 boys, to Fred and Tillie Bertschy. Bernice grew up in Southern Alberta and went to school in Mossleigh. She met Hugh Leslie in the fall of 1941 and they married in October of the following year at Knox United Church in Calgary. Bernice and Hugh lived their lives in Mossleigh.

Gerald “Buck” Cofield of Vulcan, formerly of Claresholm, passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 5, 2013 in Vulcan at the age of 86 yrs.
Born on April 24, 1927 in Wainwright, AB, in his early years, Buck came south to the Bar U Ranch and worked there until it was sold and then worked seismic for a few years with GSI.  He went to work for the MD of Willow Creek in 1965, first from the shop, then as Assistant Fieldman until his retirement.

Robert Edward Fath, 95, of Champion, Alberta, passed away in the presence of his family June 14, 2013.
He was born to the late Stephen and Anna Fath, October 28, 1917, in Champion, AB.  Robert attended public school in Champion and Calgary, where he lived with his parents for a short time before returning to the family farm, where he farmed for the remaining years of his life.
Bitten by the farming lifestyle, Robert continued the farm tradition. With all the hours needed to raise crops, livestock and his family, Robert still found time to pursue his many sporting interests and going

Susan Perley (nee Matejka) of Vulcan, passed away June 12, 2013 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 93 years.
Susan is survived by her two daughters, Judy (Del) West, Jane (Jon Burden) Perley, five sons, Les (Selma), Bill, Ron (Lisa), Dennis (Cheryl) and David (Audrey) Perley, 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law Sue Perley, a sister Mary Silk and two nieces and a nephew. Suzanna was predeceased by her loving husband John in 1995, her parents and son John Perley in 2006.

Honess, Russell Allan, beloved husband of Mildred (formerly of Lomond), passed away June 7, 2013 in Brooks, AB.
Russell was born March 15, 1922, the oldest son of William & Verda Honess. He received all of his schooling at Midway School (east of Lomond). Russell’s dad passed away in 1932 so at the age 14 years, Russell left home to work for farmers at Rainier and the Bow City Coal Mine. On June 18, 1943, Russell married Mildred Armstrong. This year they would have celebrated their 70th year of marriage. In 1944, Russell contracted polio and spent 3 months in the

Alene “Yvonne” West of Vulcan, formerly of Lomond, passed away May 23, 2013 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 88 years.
Loving mother of a daughter Bev (Doug) Lee of Brooks, three sons Bruce (Patricia) of Olds, Doug of Lomond, Bob (Carol Robertson) of Vulcan, six grandchildren Lori and Rick Lee, Evan and Casey West, Elyse (Derek) Belanger and Brett Robertson and numerous nieces and nephews.
