Robert “Bob” Bruce Holm – Dec.17. 1955 – July 31, 2015
Holm, Robert Bruce “Bob”, of Vulcan, passed away following a mighty battle with cancer at the age of 59 years.
Besides his wife Valerie, Bob is survived by a son Jackson, a daughter Jennifer (Jason), brother Mike (Cheryl) of Hanna, a sister Lynda (Bryon) Smith of Crossfield, nieces, nephews, mother-in-law Gladys Rushfeldt, brother-in-law Leighton (Penny) Rushfeldt, sisters-in-law Norma (Murray) McLean, Brenda Mueller, Sharon (Dave) Serban, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and Godson Ryan Fath.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Ted and Doreen Holm, father-in-law Vic Rushfeldt, nephew Bradley

McMillan, Gwendolyn Carol “Meme”, of Vulcan, passed away suddenly at home on June 18, 2015 at the age of 56 years.
Gwen is survived by her daughter Sheena McMillan, grandchildren, Izabella McMillan, Emery Flewelling, and Scarlette Nault. She is also survived by siblings, Donavon Donaldson, Theodore Donaldson, Florence Chubaty, Edith Smart, Carl McMillan, and George McMillan. Gwen was predeceased by parents George and Mary McMillan, and siblings, John McMillan, William McMillan, and Robert McMillan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday July 10, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Living Word Fellowship Church

June Audrey Rhodes of Champion, beloved wife of Walter passed away peacefully at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on June 18, 2015 at the age of 89 years.
Besides her loving husband, Walter, June is survived by daughters Lynne (Darrel) Vaage of Vulcan, Marjorie (Terry) Hamilton of Coalhurst, sons Doug (Ella), Les (Lynne) and David Rhodes, all of Champion, 19 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren, sisters Betty Root and Fay Poch and numerous nieces and nephews. Buchan, Betty Elaine, of Champion, passed away suddenly at home on June 18, 2015 at the age of 82 years.
Elaine was born on March 30, 1933 to proud parents Max and Annetta Groves. She lived in Champion her entire life, spending 58 years with husband Allen. Elaine was a friend to all and would go out of her way to help the older people in the community.  Elaine was an amazing wife to Allen and a wonderful mother to Cindy (Murray),Gary (Joanne), Kevin (Lynnette) and Nancy (Daryl). Linda May Daniells (nee: Mc Niven)
Daniells, Linda May, of Vulcan, beloved wife of Greg, passed away peacefully at home on June 16, 2015 at the age of 64 years.
Linda was the oldest of 5 children born to Frank and Jessie McNiven on June 6, 1951 in Calgary, Alberta. Linda grew up on a farm near Herronton. Linda went to high school in Vulcan where she also met her husband Greg. After High School, Linda attended Secretary School in Calgary. Greg and Linda were married July 3, 1971 and started their life together in Calgary, shortly after moving to Vulcan area.

Stefan Peter “Steve” Plytka of Vulcan, passed away June 14, 2015 at Vulcan Community Hospital at the age of 87 years.
Steve was born in Bellevue, AB, to parents Peter and Rose Plytka. After spending his youth in the Crowsnest Pass, he later moved to the family farm in the Alston district at Vulcan, AB with his parents and brother Alex.
Steve was a member of the West Canadian Colliers Miners Band and a highlight was being able to play during the Calgary Stampede Parade. He was also a past member of the Vulcan County Band and the Royal Canadian Legion. Steve

Scarlett, Ella Elizabeth, of Nanton, passed away at the High River Hospital on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the age of 85 years.
Ella is survived by her three daughters, Judy (Tim)Taylor of Oregon, Donna Heidmiller of Edmonton, Deana (Jerry) Bjornson of Champion, 5 grandsons Jesse and Chad Bjornson, Cody Jackson, Dustin and Brady Totten. She was predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Nina Oatts and a sister Edith Brooks.

Kemp, Shirley Jean, wife of David Kemp of Vulcan, passed away at Vulcan Community Hospital on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Shirley passed away peacefully after fighting a short but courageous battle of brain cancer.
Besides her husband David, Shirley is survived by daughter Sherry, son David, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, brothers Lyall (Pat) and Garth (Gloria), step mother Shirley and step sister Kelly, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
