We Remember

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Kenneth Farrow on September 28, 2015.
Robert was born in Cambridge Ont. March 11, 1968 and moved to Vulcan, Alberta in 2007 with his partner Karen Currie where he had a passion for camping in the wilderness of the mountains. Robert was owner of Rockpile Enterprises, doing building maintenance and repairs, and working in the technical field of computers and the internet. He was currently building a recording studio in Vulcan.
Robert leaves behind his parents Joanne and Ken and a brother Steven, all of Ontario.

Cody Merlin Nelson, beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandpa and friend, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta on September 10 at the age of 53 after suffering a severe stroke.
Cody was born in Vulcan, Alberta and resided in Champion, Alberta for his entire life. He worked as a truck driver and had a passion for automobiles and motorcycles. He enjoyed watching numerous sporting events including hockey and baseball and took pride in watching his children perform their various activities.

Margaret Geraldine (Gerding) Shaw, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, passed away peacefully in the early hours of September 7, 2015, at CapitalCare Grandview in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 90 years.
Margaret is survived by her sister, Norma (O’Hare), and brother, Bob; her daughter, Sheilah (Featherstone), and sons, Edward (Ted) and Michael; her grandchildren, Allen, Don, Cyndi, Grace, Michael, Sandra and Travis and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Louis Shaw; by her parents, Joseph and Anna (McHugh) Gerding; by her sister, Eileen (Hanchuk); and by her brothers, Cecil, Joseph, Raymond and Arnold.

Stewart, Florence “Fluffy” Irene, of Strathmore, Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away in Strathmore on August 28, 2015 at the age of 90 years.
Florence grew up in Manyberries and went to school there, arriving either on horseback or walking two and a half miles. She said she could ride a horse and swim before she could walk. In 1941 she moved into the dorm at Rosemary to take her high schooling. She loved her life in Manyberries, mostly because she loved her grand-father so much. Healy, Robert Donald October 16, 1959 – August 10, 2015
Healy, Robert Donald, of Vulcan, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, passed away at the age of 55 years, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Robert will be forever missed and loved by his wife Alona, daughters Mona and Scarlett, his mother Dorothy, brothers Kenneth, Ron (Cathy), Steve (Rhonda) and sisters Susan and Laurie (Steve), along with his nieces Chelsy, Megan, Lexy, Brooke and Grace, and his nephews Austin and Cole. He was predeceased by his father Robert Kenneth Healy on June 17, 2010.

Robert “Bob” Bruce Holm – Dec.17. 1955 – July 31, 2015
Holm, Robert Bruce “Bob”, of Vulcan, passed away following a mighty battle with cancer at the age of 59 years.
Besides his wife Valerie, Bob is survived by a son Jackson, a daughter Jennifer (Jason), brother Mike (Cheryl) of Hanna, a sister Lynda (Bryon) Smith of Crossfield, nieces, nephews, mother-in-law Gladys Rushfeldt, brother-in-law Leighton (Penny) Rushfeldt, sisters-in-law Norma (Murray) McLean, Brenda Mueller, Sharon (Dave) Serban, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and Godson Ryan Fath.

McMillan, Gwendolyn Carol “Meme”, of Vulcan, passed away suddenly at home on June 18, 2015 at the age of 56 years.
Gwen is survived by her daughter Sheena McMillan, grandchildren, Izabella McMillan, Emery Flewelling, and Scarlette Nault. She is also survived by siblings, Donavon Donaldson, Theodore Donaldson, Florence Chubaty, Edith Smart, Carl McMillan, and George McMillan. Gwen was predeceased by parents George and Mary McMillan, and siblings, John McMillan, William McMillan, and Robert McMillan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday July 10, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Living Word Fellowship Church
