Marjorie Helen Brown Oct.5, 1927 – Apr.13, 2016
Brown, Marjorie Helen (affectionately known as The Gremlin), of Vulcan, passed away at the South Health Campus, Calgary, Alberta on April 13, 2016.
Marjorie is survived by her three daughters Carla, Rhonda and Tania, four grandchildren Carrie, Dean, Robbie and Alana, great grandchildren Ashley, Josh, Dalton and Angie, great great grandchildren Nicholas, Gage and Iralyn.
Marjorie was predeceased by her parents Melvin and Ruth Whiteman and husband James Robert Brown.
A Family Memorial Service and lnurnment will be held at a later date at the Fonthill Cemetery and Chapel in Fonthill, Ontario.

 Ann Van Spankeren, beloved wife of John, passed through the gates of heaven on April 12, 2016 at the age of 68, at the Vulcan Community Health Center. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family
Ann is survived by her husband John, children; Cathy (Dwayne), Michael (Iyaye), Shawn (Colleen), Teresa (Matt) and her cherished grandchildren Kelly, Ashley, Sarah, Jakob, Dylan, Ethan, Erin and Boma.
Ann was born December 27, 1947 in Bodegraven, Holland. She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1952 to Cochrane, Ontario. The following year they moved to Toronto, where she met her devoted husband John in 1963.

McKenna, Frank, of Vulcan, passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre April 12, 2016 at the age of 73 years.
Frank is survived by his children Lynn, David and Karen, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Frank is also survived by his mum Helen McKenna, three brothers, their wives and children.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Vulcan Legion Hall (240 Sinclair Road, Vulcan).

Florence Agate April 16, 1917 – March 23, 2016
Agate, Florence, of Vulcan, passed away at Vulcan Extendicare March 23, 2016 at the age of 98 years.
Florence was born in Glasgow, Montana, USA. She was very young when her parents decided to move to Alberta, who started homesteading in the Cluny area. As she got older, she helped her father with the farming and chores because her siblings were too young to help out. She attended the Cluny school until Grade 9 when she had to quit to go to work to help with the family finances.

Dorothy Lois Hovdebo (nee Cook) July 18, 1943 – March 23, 2016
Once again with heavy hearts we have to say goodbye to our mother, daughter, Grammie, and sister. After a short battle with lung cancer, Dorothy passed away in the Vulcan Hospital on March 23rd, 2016.
Dorothy was born in Prince Albert and grew up in the White Star district eventually moving into Prince Albert. She and Cec were married in June 1962. Deb was born the following June and soon after they moved to Thompson, MB. Jasper was born there in 1965. The family moved back to Prince Albert in

Cecil Henry Hovdebo March 28, 1942 ~ February 28, 2016
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Cec who passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre February 28, 2016 at the age of 73 years.
Cec was born in Pierceland, SK to Nels and Tillie Hovdebo and weighed less than 5 lbs! Grandpa and Grandma Hovdebo packed up Dad and older brother, Uncle Neil and moved west of Prince Albert when Dad was around 3 years old. At a young age dad was already playing ball and Grandpa took him to White Star for a ball

Andrus, Glen Russel, of Vulcan, passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre February 18, 2016 at the age of 87 years.
Glen was born September 17, 1928 in Wollaston, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army at around the age of 18 and was based in Ontario for 19 years, where he also served overseas in Egypt. He later moved to Calgary with his wife Pauline in 1972 before moving to Vulcan, AB where Glen has resided since. Glen and his niece Val Beck spent a lot of time together since Pauline passed away and they provided great companionship for each
