Burke, Roger Donel, of Carmangay, beloved husband of Beryl, passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre September 7, 2017 at the age of 71 years.
Roger was born Dec.5, 1945 in Carmangay, youngest son of Lethrie and June Burke. He grew up in the Carmangay area and attended school here. After leaving school early on, Roger decided to later pursue his High School Equivalency Diploma which he received in 1997.
Roger took on many tasks throughout his life – picking rocks, hard rock mining, truck driving, trailer building and a number of oil field jobs. In 1968 he met the love

Loreen passed away at the Vulcan Health Care Centre on August 27, 2017 at the age of 69 years. Loreen chose Medical Assistance In Dying.
Loreen enjoyed renovating and updating the farm house with Dave (Myrna, Loreen and Dave, along with Linda and Gordy did what they could to improve the old farmstead and stave off the plagues and ravages of time), gardening, traveling with Dave, watching the birds and the peace and quiet of country living.

It’s with great sadness that the family of Carl William “Bill” Sharp announce his peaceful passing, at the Foothills Country Hospice, Okotoks, AB on August 24, 2017 at the age of 72 years.
Bill was born in Vulcan on January 2, 1945, oldest son of Bill and Helma Sharp. He attended Grades 1 to 6 in Vulcan, then after moving to the previous Lynn Oldfield farm in 1957, he completed his schooling in Milo. After school, he remained at home to help his dad with the farm.

Webber/Tuttle (Nee Kana), Edna, (formerly of Vulcan) of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital, Lethbridge, AB on August 8, 2017 at the age of 89 years.
Edna was born in Medicine Hat, AB on November 29, 1927, the first of three children to Iver and Clara Kana. Edna and her siblings, Irene and Norman, were raised on a sheep ranch in Pendent d’Orielle, southwest of Medicine Hat. Stumpf, Lorraine of Milo, passed away at the Calgary South Health Campus on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the age of 88 years.
Lorraine was born in the Arrowwood Hospital on February 3, 1929 to John Robert and Annie Goldthorpe, who were English homesteaders in the Eastway district. Lorraine was the youngest of six children and attended Eastway and Buffalo Schools. They milked 14 cows before heading to school by horseback. Gordon Porter Marshall passed away at the High River Hospital on July 21, 2017 at the age of 88 years.
Gordon was born in Vulcan, AB on May 12, 1929. He was predeceased by his first wife Vera (Popoff) in 1993, a sister Betty McKinnon in 1963, his father Leslie in 1980 and his mother Della Poff in 2001.
