Willems, Eugene Edward, of Champion, beloved husband of Patricia, passed away at the Claresholm Hospital on May 16, 2018 at the age of 76 years.
Besides his loving wife Pat, Gene is survived by his children: Dawn (Peter) Kuczaj of Calgary, Adam (Melodie) Willems of Champion and Christopher Willems, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, two brothers Barry (Cindy) Willems, Rick Willems, two sisters Rose (Gordon) Hart and Denise (Hubert) Bru, numerous nieces and nephews. Gene was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Rosella Willems, and a brother Brian Willems.

Howard Hagg, beloved husband of Lorraine, was taken home to be with his Lord on May 2, 2018 at the age of 95 years.
Howard was born on March 29, 1923 in Great Falls, Montana to Otto & Anna (Zahnd) Hagg. His parents had moved to Great Falls for the winter months looking for work then returning to Champion/Vulcan area to farm. Beck, Valeen “Val” Alberta, of Vulcan, passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on April 28, 2018 at the age of 79 years.
Val was born December 6, 1938 in Coe Hill, ON to Earl and Leatha (nee: Andrus) Warner. She was raised in the Oshawa area and in 1965 came west to Carievale, SK where she resided with her young family for about 5 years. After her divorce, Val came to Calgary in 1972 with her Uncle Glen Andrus.

HOULTON-DANN, Anna ‘Laura’ 1921 – 2018
Houlton, Anna Laura, passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Center on April 9, 2018, two weeks prior to her 97th birthday.
Laura was born in Vulcan in 1921 to Mary and Labon Eamor, being the youngest of four brothers and six sisters. She attended school in Vulcan and in 1943, she married Tom Houlton and lived in the Reid Hill district until moving into town in 1958.
Tom passed away in 1976. Laura later married Walter Dann in 1996, who passed away in 2006.
Laura was a Past President of the Women’s Institute, Lionettes, Vulcan Ladies Curling Club and Golf Club, UCW
