Marjorie Anna May McLennan October 29, 1928 to January 17, 2019

Marjorie (Marj) McLennan passed away peacefully at the age of 90 with her family by her side at Vulcan Extendicare.

Marj was the third of nine children, born on a farm next to the Belly River, south-east of Fort Macleod, to James and Mary McNab. Marj was raised on the family farm and had many stories of going to the country school, tending gardens, riding horses, hauling water from the river and cooking with her mother. She was especially proud of the fact her dad raised the great bucking horse Midnight.

Heather, Ethel Lillian

Mom passed away peacefully Dec. 21, 2018 at the age of 89 years.

Ethel was born July 15, 1929 to Bill and Florence Clements, the seventh of eight children. She grew up east of Milo, attending Corbie Hill School until it closed, then continued at Milo School. In 1948 she married Alvin George “Hap” Heather.

Ethel was famous for her angel food cakes, with family members receiving them on birthday and special occasions. She also loved gardening, and playing with her grandchildren.

The family of Carol Ann Wright of Calgary, are saddened to announce the passing of their mother at the South Calgary Health Campus on December 12, 2018 at the age of 76 years.

Carol was born in Marwayne, AB on January 12, 1942 to George and Beatrice Brooks. She was the middle of 5 children (Earnest, Inez, Shirley and Phyllis). In 1947 the family moved off the farm into Lloydminster. Here Carol spent the rest of her childhood. She graduated from High School in 1960. Carolyn Campbell of Vulcan, passed away at the Vulcan Extendicare on December 6, 2018 at the age of 99 years.

Carolyn was born October 21, 1919, the youngest of three daughters born to Bob and Dora Hay near Vulcan, AB. She attended school at Snake Creek School then to Edmonton Normal School and then taught at Sunset Valley School near Mossleigh.

It is with great sadness that the family of Denise Colleen Kuntz announces her passing on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at the age of 57. Denise passed away peacefully at the Sarcee Hospice in Calgary, AB. She survived many years battling cancer, but she never let it defeat or discourage her.

Howard was born on August 7, 1938 in Waldheim, Saskatchewan. He was the youngest of 5 children, born to Reverend Charles and Katherine Dirks. Howard grew up in Nipawin, Saskatchewan, finished school at 16 years of age, and moved to Calgary to join sister and brother-in-law Frances and Syd Bates. Kenneth (Ken) Howard Gatenby passed away peacefully in Vulcan, Alberta on October 26, 2018 with his family close by his side. Ken was born on December 26, 1931 in Champion. He was the fourth child of Percy and Cecile Gatenby. Ken grew up in Champion loving to play baseball and all things outdoors.
