Branden, Richard Wayne, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Deb, passed away suddenly at home on July 9, 2020 at the age of 59 years.Born Sept. 14 1960   in Ottawa, Ontario,  Richard traveled with his parents until landing in the Lomond area where the family farmed for many years.   He then made his way to Vulcan where he started work with the CP Railway. He met and married Deb and they moved to Lethbridge to raise 2 beautiful children,  Lukis & Jazmin.

CALDWELL, Eileen LeavurnSeptember 7, 1923 – July 7, 2020

Caldwell, Eileen of Champion, passed away peacefully at the Dulcina Hospice in Calgary on July 7, 2020 at the age of 96 years and 10 months.

Eileen is survived by her daughter, Marie Greaves of Airdrie as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many good friends. On Saturday, June 20, 2020, Anna Deimert was called home to be with her Lord at the age of 91.

Anna Deimert was born on April 27, 1929 in Saskatchewan. Ann met Louie Deimert at Weyburn while she was working at the Provincial Hospital. He was the love of her life and they were soon married on July 29, 1951.

Ann and Louie decided to make a career change in 1967 when they moved to the Vulcan area to start a farming operation. They were very active in the Evangelical Church in Vulcan and Louie went on two mission trips to Haiti

Glowa, Marguerite Lela, beloved wife of the late Frederick Glowa of Carmangay, passed away in Calgary June 18, 2020 at the age of 95 years.

Marguerite was born in Cardston, Alberta and schooled in the small town of Kathryn. She was the oldest of seven children. Her father was a teacher and that started a life-time love of reading and learning.

Don Fox of Vulcan, passed away peacefully at the Vulcan Community Health Centre with his family by his side on June 14, 2020, at the age of 77 years.

Don was born at Hardy, SK, one of seven children to Victor and Evelyn Fox. After finishing school in Hardy, Don ventured ‘West’, on his own, in the summer of 1960 and arrived at Vulcan. Sylvia Foyle (nee: Korpan) of Vulcan passed away peacefully with her family at her side June 5, 2020 at the age of 84 years.

Sylvia was born in Edmonton, Alberta to Anton and Annie (nee:Laky) Korpan, one of eight daughters including Betty, Ellen, Pauline, Pat, Margaret, Jean and Marion. Anton was a hotelkeeper who moved his family to various locations throughout Sylvia’s childhood, including Ontario and British Columbia, finally settling in Vancouver. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Prentice. Brenda left us on May 5 after a brief battle with cancer.

Brenda was born August 6, 1939 in Magrath, Alberta, the daughter of Wren and Isabell Holladay. Brenda came to Milo in 1958 to work as a school teacher and married local farmer James Prentice three years later and remained a member of the community for the rest of her life.

Norma LaRoche, age 89, passed peacefully at Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary Alberta on May 28, 2020.

Norma, born in Saskatoon, grew up in numerous Western Canadian cities as her single mother opened a series of business colleges for young woman in Whitehorse, Penticton, Edmonton and elsewhere while raising Norma and her sister Donna. Norma went to a Alberta College in Edmonton and studied nursing at the University of Alberta. Following her education she worked as a secretary at Home Oil in Calgary, eventually meeting Jerry.

On Sunday April 26, 2020, Claire Suzanne Vozniak, beloved wife of the Late John Vozniak, passed away suddenly at the age of 65 years.

Suzanne was born in Wakaw, Saskatchewan on June 4th 1954, to Joseph and Claire St. Pierre. On march 12th 1983 she married John Vozniak. Together they raised their son David.

Suzanne was a dedicated nurse, working in the field for over 40 years in various cities, as well as a loving wife, mother and friend to many. She enjoyed gardening and the outdoors, spending a lot of her time with family at their camper near Vulcan. Suzanne, also
