On December 1, 2021, after a long battle with liver disease, Kevin climbed into his truck for his final road trip to the “shop” to be greeted by his buddies, who have long since passed before him, to have some drinks, reminisce, and tell their trucking tales of years gone by as well as a few good jokes for measure.

Dorothy “Dot” Craine

It is with great sadness the family of Dorothy “Dot” Craine from Morinville, AB announce her passing on November 29th, 2021 at the age of 97.
Dot was born Oct 3, 1924 on the family farm at Brunetta (near Lomond), youngest daughter of Bill and Rose Brotherwood. After finishing school at Brunetta, she worked for local families helping with childcare, cleaning and cooking meals during harvest season. For a brief time, Dot also worked as a telephone operator in Milo.

Lola Rose (née Bateman) Findlay
19 February 1922 – 17 November 2021
Lola Rose (née Bateman) Findlay graduated from earth-life to heaven November 17, 2021 at 99 years and almost 9 months of age. Born and raised on the Bateman farm NE of Vulcan, then living in town, Lola was truly a lifelong Vulcan resident. For grades 1-9, Lola attended the 2-room Snake Creek School (the building had been her parents’ original homestead), followed by high school education in Vulcan and by correspondence. Although small in stature, she was an industrious “goer and doer”.

Marvin Loyd Henrickson    1938 – 2021
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marvin Henrickson, beloved husband of Helene (Lund) Henrickson. Marvin passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Health Centre in Lethbridge Alberta, on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 61 years, Helene; his son Lorne (Connie) Henrickson; his daughter Loreen Henrickson Ormon; his grandchildren Stephanie (Derek) Chez of Manitoba, Cassidy (Ismahan) Henrickson, Ashley (Brandon) Cecchini, Chantal Ormon and Colton Ormon; as well as 7 great-grandchildren.
Marvin was predeceased by his parents Jergen Henrickson (1956) and Stella Williamson (2000); his brother Leroy Henrickson (2001)

Paul De Clercq of Champion, beloved husband of Ruby, passed away peacefully at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on November 2, 2021 at the age of 86 years.
Paul was the eldest son of Ney and Genevieve (Walden) De Clercq and was born July 17, 1935 in Claresholm, AB. He grew up on the farm NE of Stavely, AB and attended school at Turnbow, Prairie Dell and Stavely. Paul married Ruby Beingessner on October 20, 1956 while working in the oil patch for Young Exploration. Paul and Ruby moved frequently with the drilling crew and their trailer home all around AB

Al was born in Taber, Alberta on July 18, 1952. He spent his early years in Trail, BC and then moved to Edmonton and surrounding area until he was sixteen. Al moved to Calgary and lived with his Uncle Abe for a short time before moving to live on his own. He worked as an Apprentice Welder at Maloney Steel where he met his longtime friend of 50 years, Terry Hungle.

Robert “Bob” Agnew of Vulcan, passed away peacefully on his own terms, at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on August 31, 2021 at the age of 90 years.
Bob was born in North Battleford, SK, and grew up in Neepawa, MB. He settled in Calgary, AB before retiring to Milo, AB.
Bob will be deeply missed by his four daughters: Vickie (Doug) Copplestone, Cindy (Brian) Junnila, Susan (Dennis) Dahl and Debbie (Mario) Soroka, along with 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.He was the last surviving sibling of 12 children born to George and Angelina

Donna Will of Milo, beloved wife of Thomas, passed away peacefully at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on August 25, 2021 at the age of 84 years.
Donna Louise Will (Hagerty) was born May 2, 1937, the only child of Stan and Hazel (Foote) Hagerty of Stony Beach. She grew up on the farm Northwest of Stony Beach and attended Stony Beach School and graduated from the Convent of Zion in Moose Jaw. From 1956 to 1959 she taught school at Findlater, Star City and Avonhurst, Sk. She attended the University of Regina in 1960 and then taught at Eastview School

David John Cheswick (Dave) of Carmangay, Alberta, beloved husband of Carole, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge on August 24, 2021 at the age of 73 years.
Dave was born on January 12, 1948 at Portage La Prairie, Manitoba to John and Joan Cheswick. Dave moved to Oliver, BC with his family where he got his schooling and worked at his Father’s garage alongside his brother Robert. Dave joined the Canadian Armed Forces when he was 16 years old and soon after he married his highschool sweetheart Carole. Dave served in many locations, including a Peace Keeping Tour
