Bernard ‘Ben’ Norman Stubel of Vulcan, passed away peacefully at Vulcan Extendicare on September 14, 2022. Ben is survived by his loving wife Alice of Vulcan.

Chris Peter Vermeeren- born Christiaan Petrus Joseph Vermeeren- passed away surrounded by family September 11, 2022 in Vulcan, AB at the age of 73. He was born in Bladel, North Brabant, Southern Nederland on January 27, 1949 to Harrie and Adriana. He was the 5th of 8 children, with 3 older half siblings, and 4 full siblings. In 1968, he boarded a transatlantic flight from Rotterdam to Montreal, and then a train across Canada to Brooks, AB. Here he began a new life as a proud Canadian patriot. Alvin LeRoy Larkins of Vulcan, beloved husband of Jeanette, passed away peacefully at the High River Hospital Long Term Care on August 29, 2022 at the age of 88 years.
Alvin was born June 14, 1934 in Champion, AB, 3rd son born to Edmund and Rose Larkins in a family of eight children. They lived in Champion where his Dad worked for different farmers. Dora Mae Schuler of Vulcan, passed away suddenly at her home on August 25, 2022 at the age of 89 years.
Dora was born November 10, 1932, at Lake Four, Saskatchewan, the 3rd eldest child of Fred and Gwen (Faber) Schuler. Dora received her childhood education at Lake Four, Saskatchewan, going to grade 8.
Dora travelled and worked through Western Canada for several years. In 1958 she took a trip to Hawaii and upon her return she moved to Vulcan to help her Aunt Margaret (Schuler) Hanna after her Uncle Jack was killed. She lived on a farm north of Vulcan where

Darrell Maronda of Lomond, beloved husband of Joyce, passed away at Vulcan Extendicare on August 24, 2022 at the age of 82 years. Darrell was born August 2, 1940 to Fred and Viola Maronda in Vulcan, AB.
Darrell is survived by his wife Joyce and daughters Shelley Maronda, Cheryl Blanchette and Grandchildren Bailey, Morgan and Michael. Darrell also had four great grandchildren Warren, Isiah, Trinity and Marley. Darrell was predeceased by his parents Fred and Viola, Shelley’s partner Jim McKay, brother Ron, sister Donna Ray Teasdale and son Warren Maronda.

Gregory Thomas Low of Carmangay, passed away tragically on July 16, 2022 at the age of 55 years, as a result of a motor vehicle accident near Champion, AB.
Besides his wife Debbie, Greg is survived by his two children Jessica and Graeme Low, his mother Wendy Low, sister Kathy (Colin) McKenzie and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Thomas.
Greg was born and grew up in Surrey, B.C. He moved to Calgary then to Carmangay/Vulcan area where he met and married Debbie Wyatt in 2008. Together they lived in a house that Greg built in Carmangay. Greg

Wanda Lucille Cofield, of Claresholm, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 22, 2022 at the Willow Creek Continuing Care at the age of 92 years.
Born May 21, 1930 in Nanton, AB, where she attended school and later went to the Bar U ranch to help her mom cook, where she met Gerald (Buck) Cofield, they were married December 20, 1947. In 1962 Wanda trained as a Certified Nursing Aid and worked in several hospitals, she also worked for Dr. Barry Mitchell and Dr. Larry Hoogeveen in their office.

Frank Leo Cutler, of Vulcan, beloved husband and father, passed away at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on July 23, 2022 at the age of 75 years.
Frank was born in Vulcan on February 15, 1947. Eldest son of Bob and Muriel Cutler. He attended elementary school in Champion and high school in Vulcan. In his young adult years. He took up farming with his parents and learned lapidary. Frank could often be found tinkering with farm equipment, and checking and repairing fence.
Shortly after marrying Helene Krueger in 1976 they raised their son Vic. Frank was a loving husband and father.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Vivian Carol Harris (Ransom), known by all as Carol, on July 8th, 2022.
Carol was born on February 21st , 1942 to Dorothy and Glen Ransom in Nanton. After moving to Champion in grade 12 and riding the school bus from Kirkcaldy into Champion, Keith Harris caught her eye. The rest has been history. With the love of her life by her side, Carol went on to have a successful career in banking, winning several tropical cruises as rewards for her performance along the way, and was actively involved in Eastern
