It is with great sadness that we the family of Frank T. Fletcher (F.T.F.) announce his leaving us on August 13, 2004 at Vulcan Community Health Centre to join his beloved wife Madeline, granddaughter Deborah, four brothers, four sisters and his parents in the heavens above.
Frank was born in Weston, Oregon August 16,1905. As a small boy he came with his parents and grandparents to the Brant district where they homesteaded in 1905. Linda Diane Whiteside of Vulcan passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Saviour on July 10, 2004 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 62 years.
Linda was born January 30, 1942 at Vulcan to Bruce and Gwen McKay. She attended Reid Hill school through grade eight and finished senior high in Vulcan. Linda then attended the University of Alberta and the Calgary General Hospital School of Nursing. She returned to Vulcan following her marriage to Cody Alexander Whiteside in the fall of 1961. Elsie Florence Thompson, 82, passed away peacefully at Vulcan Extendicare August 3, 2003.
Elsie was born on February 21, 1921 at home at Badger Lake Alberta. She was the fourth child of Albert and Ellen Thompson. She attended Badger Lake School, finishing high school in Lomond. She graduated as a teacher from Normal School in Calgary in 1940. The first school she taught at was near her home at First Chance. Ruby Julia Jamison passed away peacefully July 22, 2004 at the Vulcan Community Health Centre long-term care unit at the age of 87 years.
Ruby was born September 30, 1916 in Lethbridge, Alberta to “Joe” and “Vi” Collier. The family moved to Vulcan in 1918 where Ruby completed her high school. She entered nurses training at St. Eugene Hospital in Cranbrook, B.C and graduated in 1938. Ruby came to the Vulcan Hospital and worked full time until she married Nelson Jamison in 1942.
