The family of Harvey Yarn of Vulcan, are saddened to announce his passing on November 30, 2024 at the age of 78 years.
Harvey was born May 16, 1946 at English Harbor West, Newfoundland. The Yarn family moved from Nfld. to Halifax N.S. in the early 1950’s where Harvey attended school. At the ripe old age of 15, he moved to Ontario to work on the lake boats for 3 or 4 years. Upon his return to Halifax, he became a journeyman sheet metal worker.

CAMPBELL, John Malcolm 1942 – 2024
John Malcolm Campbell of Vulcan, formerly of Mossleigh, passed away at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on November 21, 2024 at the age of 82 years.
John was born August 13, 1942 in Vulcan, AB, second son of Bill and Carrie Campbell. He received his education mostly in Mossleigh, and attended Grade 12 in Vulcan. Upon completing high school, he attended Olds School of Agriculture. After he received his diploma, he returned home to farm.

MOORE (Cross) Marcella Gertrude 1932 – 2024
Marcella Gertrude (Cross) Moore of Carmangay, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the age of 92, on November 16th, 2024, at the Vulcan Extendicare with family at her bedside. Marcella was born on May 25, 1932 to Merlin and Elizabeth Cross of Rimbey, Alberta.
Marcella was known for her strength and strong faith in her Lord, Jesus Christ, and that same soul carried on into her kitchen and garden; she loved to cook and shared her gift in the kitchen with family and friends. She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and of course her late husband Billy (William Robert) Moore.

GARLAND, Patrick William 1947 – 2024
The family of Patrick Garland of Champion, beloved husband of Sandra, are saddened to announce his passing at Lethbridge Regional Hospital on November 10, 2024 at the age of 77 years.
Pat was born September 11, 1947 at Brant, ON. He worked for the County of Vulcan for approximately 20 years as a Grader Operator and loved to meet and visit with the locals. Pat enjoyed camping and fishing, especially participating in the Badger Lake Ice Fishing Derby. His favorite pastime was watching his favorite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

BRAUN, Gertrude 1930 – 2024
Gertrude Braun of Coaldale, beloved wife of Jacob, passed away peacefully in Coaldale, AB on November 6, 2024 at the age of 94 years. Gertrude was born April 18, 1930 in Rosenort, Ukraine.
Besides her loving husband, Jake, Gertrude is survived by her son John Braun and daughter Carol (Otto) Lenz. She was a doting grandmother to David (Jen), Jaime, Stefan (Ashley) Lenz and Candice (Nathan) Jensen. She was blessed with 3 great grandchildren Jordyn, Rowan, and Fallon Jensen.

ROSS, Neil ‘Bullet’ Kenneth 1949 – 2024
Neil Kenneth Ross “Bullet” recently of Champion, AB, native of Lake Louise AB, beloved husband of Rose, passed away at South Health Campus Calgary on October 13, 2024 at the age of 74 years.
Neil was born October 28, 1949 at Cranbrook BC, son of Kenneth and Barbara Ross. He was raised in Golden, BC and educated in Nanaimo, BC where he spent 20 of his adult years as a hair dresser and cofounded the Nanaimo Hair Dressing Association before returning to Golden, BC to raise his family and join Parks Canada.

Robert Earl Gyorfi of Carmangay AB was called home to his Father October 15, 2024 at the age of 65. He was born May 27, 1959 to Mike and Grace Gyorfi.

Stephen ‘Clive’ Edwards of Lomond, Alberta, beloved husband of Sharon, passed away peacefully at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on October 14, 2024 at the age of 74 years.
Clive was born July 25, 1950 in Birkenhead, England, son of Robert and Edna Edwards. At 18 months old the family immigrated to Montreal, QC. A year later they moved to Sydney, NS where Clive was joined by a brother, Robert and followed by a sister, Susan. In the early 1960s the Edwards family moved to North Vancouver, BC where they stayed for many years.

WYATT, Dale Frank 1941 – 2024
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Frank Wyatt on October 5, 2024 at the Vulcan Community Health Center at the age of 83 years.
Dale was born April 23, 1941 in Vulcan to Frank and Ruby Wyatt. He lived near the original homestead in the Buffalo Hills for most of his life, until moving to Vulcan about three years ago.

LAKE, Jane Brinston 1971 – 2024
Jane Brinston Lake (Smith) passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024 at South Health Campus Calgary at the age of 52 years.
Jane was born on December 29, 1971 to parents Edward and June Smith. Jane spent her childhood in Calgary in various communities in the city, spending the beginning of her life in Bridgeland, then moving to Radisson Heights, and finally to Marlborough. After getting married, she moved to Huntington then in 2007 Scott, Jane and Vic moved out to Vulcan where she spent the remainder of her life. She went to high school at Crescent Heights in Calgary and
