The family of Patrick Garland of Champion, beloved husband of Sandra, are saddened to announce his passing at Lethbridge Regional Hospital on November 10, 2024 at the age of 77 years.
Pat was born September 11, 1947 at Brant, ON. He worked for the County of Vulcan for approximately 20 years as a Grader Operator and loved to meet and visit with the locals. Pat enjoyed camping and fishing, especially participating in the Badger Lake Ice Fishing Derby. His favorite pastime was watching his favorite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Gertrude Braun of Coaldale, beloved wife of Jacob, passed away peacefully in Coaldale, AB on November 6, 2024 at the age of 94 years. Gertrude was born April 18, 1930 in Rosenort, Ukraine.

Neil Kenneth Ross “Bullet” recently of Champion, AB, native of Lake Louise AB, beloved husband of Rose, passed away at South Health Campus Calgary on October 13, 2024 at the age of 74 years.
Neil was born October 28, 1949 at Cranbrook BC, son of Kenneth and Barbara Ross. He was raised in Golden, BC and educated in Nanaimo, BC where he spent 20 of his adult years as a hair dresser and cofounded the Nanaimo Hair Dressing Association before returning to Golden, BC to raise his family and join Parks Canada.

Stephen ‘Clive’ Edwards of Lomond, Alberta, beloved husband of Sharon, passed away peacefully at the Vulcan Community Health Centre on October 14, 2024 at the age of 74 years.
Clive was born July 25, 1950 in Birkenhead, England, son of Robert and Edna Edwards. At 18 months old the family immigrated to Montreal, QC. A year later they moved to Sydney, NS where Clive was joined by a brother, Robert and followed by a sister, Susan. In the early 1960s the Edwards family moved to North Vancouver, BC where they stayed for many years.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Frank Wyatt on October 5, 2024 at the Vulcan Community Health Center at the age of 83 years.
Dale was born April 23, 1941 in Vulcan to Frank and Ruby Wyatt. He lived near the original homestead in the Buffalo Hills for most of his life, until moving to Vulcan about three years ago.

Ed was born July 14, 1941 in Vulcan but lived nearly his whole life in the Carseland area. He married his High School sweetheart Penny Malmberg in 1965. Bill was born August 3, 1934 in Arrowwood, AB, son of Walter and Edith Steiner. He was raised and educated in Arrowwood. Bill later attended Olds School of Agriculture for two years where he won an award for Highest Standing in Farm Mechanics. In 1945, he spent the winter in Calgary taking a Welder’s course.
