Capton, Nina (nee: Fritzler) Deal passed away peacefully Friday November 7, 2003 in her home at Diamond Jubilee Manor in Airdrie at the age of 89 years.
Nina was born May 18, 1914 at Champion. She was raised on a farm near Champion and attended Marshall School. Nina married George Deal on April 20, 1934. They first lived on a farm in the Reid Hill area and later bought a farm near Vulcan. They lived, worked and raised their family on the farm until George’s retirement; at which time they moved into Vulcan. George passed away in 1967 and Nina remained in Vulcan until she married Charles Capton in 1973. She then moved to Lethbridge. Charles passed away in 1992 and Nina remained in Lethbridge until moving to Airdrie where she spent the remainder of her days.
Throughout her life Nina enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, playing board games and visiting family and friends.
Loving mother of two daughters Caroline (Larry) Larson of Calgary, Shirley (David) Butters of Irricana; a son Victor (Donna) Deal of Two Hills, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Nina was predeceased by two husbands, George Deal and Charles Capton, two brothers, Leo and Alex, and her parents.
Funeral service Monday, November 10, 2003 at 1:00 pm at the Vulcan Church of Christ with Rev. Doug Barrie and Rev. Jim Chapman officiating.
Casket bearers Terry Deal, Richard Deal, Robert Lefebvre, Jeff Butters, Greg Butters and Colin Butters.
Internment Vulcan Cemetery.
