Sherry was such a special friend in my life. She worked with my husband many years ago and at that time we didn’t have any real connection but God brought her back into my life just over three years a go when her and her loving husband Joel started to attend the church where we attend. I was very sad to have them move to Vulcan as we didn’t get to visit with them near as often as I would have liked. I have prayed for my dear friend every day sometimes all day many times crying for her in the awful pain she suffered. I was happy for her when she went to her eternal rest but I cry because I miss her so much. God is good and I will always be thankful that I had a chance to have such a beautiful lady in my life. I will always miss her greatly and will be waiting until we meet again. Praying for Joel always as we have been able to share a beautiful friendship with you as well. We are always here for you

I met Sherry when we lived in Rosscarrock (Calgary) when we were in grade 10. Sherry was a good friend of mine; we walked to school together every day with our other friend, Gerry Boettcher. Sherry would pick him up and they’d pick me up on the way to Ernest Manning High School. We lost touch with Gerry after school, but Sherry and I kept in contact, with her visiting me in Hope, BC and me visiting her in the various places she lived. Over the years, we did lose touch, but I was happy to see her, and meet Joel, at the Foothills Medical Centre where I worked. Unfortunately, that was the last time, but we did email and Facebook occasionally. When my mother passed last October, Sherry left a nice comment on mom’s obituary page on-line. I knew Sherry was sick a couple of years ago, but didn’t realize the seriousness of her illness. I hope her faith kept her strong. I’m sorry I didn’t visit. She was a wonderful person, sweet and kind. Please accept my condolences to her family and friends.
