Hi, I did not write this condolence as it obviously has some other fellow’s name mentioned. My Dad, Bob Deitz did for many years go to Pete’s shop in Arrowwood for his haircuts.
Not sure how our name got on this though.
Dear “Miss Bell”, It was with sadness that I heard your dear husband and friend of so many years passed away. I will never forget the day Pete came to the school in Cluny and standing in front of the grades 1-3 class gave you a big hug. He had returned from his tour of duty and you told us you were going to be married. As a little girl in grade 2, I and the whole class thought there was no more beautiful, romantic sight! We loved you and were so happy for you. You explained your name was going to be Mrs. Brown.
What an wonderful example you set for us, your family, and your community.
With love and sincere sympathy to you and your family,
Madeline (Brown) Scott.
We are so sad to read of Pete’s passing. He was a truly fine gentleman in all respects. John would drive across the Reserve quite regularly for his haircut and visit. John and Betsy were classmates at the Cluny Dorm and enjoyed reminiscing those good old days. Our deepest sympathies to Pete’s “business partner”, wife and friend Betsy and all the family!
Betsy and family. We are thinking of you at this sad time.
Lynda and Family,
We are sending warm thoughts and hugs during this difficult time. ‘Grandpa’ is in a better place and finally at peace and can now watch over us like he was intended too. May you find comfort in the many happy memories you have of his time here on earth.
Sending our love from Ontario,
Sandy & Matt, Pailin & Vann, Jimmy & Carina and Patchy
My sincerest sympathies to Betsy and families. Pete was a wonderful person who I’m sure had bad days like the rest of us, but his smile never showed it. Great memories of going to the store as a kid and visiting with him in later years when he took his skills to the extendicare. May he Rest In Peace and you find comfort in your memories.
I remember Saturdays, going to buy groceries at the store…my dad (Fritz Mason) would give Betsy the list and then he would go to the back , to Pete’s barber shop . so many great memories of that little store….my heart goes out to all of Pete’s family….
Cindy Ward (Mason)
Hi Betsy & family sorry to hear of Pete’s death. Condolences to you all.
My sincere sympathy to Betsy and families. I have many memories of Pete as my school bus driver, as a barber for my husband Fred and our boys (who still remember going there to get their first of many haircuts when we lived there and visited), and memories of the grocery store that he and Betsy owned and operated….may you all find peace and comfort…
Please except our condolences with love and prayers.

Dear Carol, Betsy and Family,
My sincere sympathy in the passing of Pete. He was an icon! He gave Ray his first haircut and my son Collin his first haircut and cut my Dad’s hair for years. Such a good and kind man at the store and in his community. God Bless.

My sincere sympathy. God keep and rest his soul.
