BRIGGEMAN, ERIC, OF CHAMPION, ALBERTA PASSED AWAY AT THE HOLY CROSS HOSPITAL, CALGARY JUNE 7, 1992 AT THE AGE OF 71 YEARS.

HE WAS BORN DECEMBER 26, 1920 AT KENILWORTH, ENGLAND AND CAME TO CANADA AT THE AGE OF 9 YEARS. ERIC WORKED FOR VARIOUS FARMERS THROUGHOUT ALBERTA AND SASKATCHEWAN. IN 1960 HE BEGAN DRIVING SCHOOL BUS FOR THE COUNTY OF ROCKY VIEW UNTIL RETIRING DUE TO HIS HEALTH IN 1982 AND CONTINUED TO RESIDE IN CALGARY. IN 1986 HE PURCHASED A HOME IN CHAMPION AND HAS RESIDED THERE SINCE.

ERIC WAS A VERY GENEROUS AND GIVING PERSON WHO WOULD LITERALLY GIVE THE SHIRT OFF HIS BACK IF HE FELT SOMEONE WAS IN NEED. HE ALSO HAD A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOUR. ANYONE WHO KNEW ERIC NEED ONLY WATCH HIS EXPRESSIONS, WHEN HE GOT THAT MISCHIEVOUS GRIN AND TWINKLE IN HIS EYE, YOU KNEW A GOOD LAUGH WAS FORTHCOMING.

HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS VERY CLOSED FRIENDS JOHN HOSZOUSKI AND BEV STAEHR OF CHAMPION, WHOM HE FONDLY CALLED HIS DAUGHTER AND MANY OTHER FRIENDS.

FUNERAL SERVICE FOR ERIC THURSDAY, JUNE 11, 1992 AT 10:00 A.M. AT CHAMPION EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH WITH REV. LARRY LOSEY OFFICIATING. INTERMENT IN THE CHAMPION CEMETERY.

PALLBEARERS WERE LANCE ANNDERSO, RICHARD STAEHR, JAMES SPARKES AND GLEN SCOTT.
