BOUTLAND, Charles “Charlie” Woodrow   1909 – 2008

Boutland, Charles “Charlie” Woodrow passed away June 12, 2008 at Vulcan Extendicare at the age of 98 years.

Charlie was born August 19, 1909 at MacLeod, Alberta to Charles and Helen Boutland.  He was raised in Nanton.  Charlie was a WWII Veteran and served in the Regina Rifles Regiment. He fought overseas all throughout Europe and participated in the D Day Invasion.  Charlie was involved in the grocery store business all of his life.  The last two years he spent at Vulcan Extendicare and was lovingly cared for by all of the staff.

Charlie is survived by the love of his life, his wife Wilma, children Chuck (Kathy) Boutland, Deb (Jeff) Cox, his precious grandchildren Katherine, David, Jennifer, Robynn, Mackenzie and Shelby, his great-grandchildren Chase, Quinton and Cooper.

Charlie was predeceased by his parents, three brothers and a sister.

Funeral service Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Vulcan Church of Christ with Rev. Doug Barrie  officiating.

Honorary bearers Ivan Haga and Logan Schneider.

Casket bearers David Boutland, Jennifer Boutland, Jeff Cox, Scott McCauley, Pat Schneider and Don Way.

Interment Vulcan Cemetery.
