Catharine ‘Diane’ Boon of Vulcan, passed away peacefully at Vulcan Extendicare on May 26, 2023.
Diane is survived by her beloved daughter Laurie (Russell) Bradford, two granddaughters Brandy (Russ) Bradford-Morin and Casey (Chris) Bradford , and three great grandchildren – Evelyn, Ivy and William. She was predeceased by her parents and husband Bill in 1996.
At Diane’s request, there will not be a formal service at this time.

My name is Carolyn (Boon) Kushner and your Dad, Bill was my cousin.
Please accept my condolences on the passing of your Mother . I am sure her memory will be cherished in your family. My first memories of Diane were a few years after you were born. She was a young, pretty lady and I was a shy young girl. She took time to say hello and talk to me . I was thrilled.
I remember that sometimes Diane came to our house with your Dad to play cards. On one occasion, with your Mom’s approval, your Dad took home a tiny black and white kitten that I found hiding under a guardrail on Crowchild Trail in Calgary. We knew that kitten had a great home. We knew that she loved her pets.
This is difficult time for all of you. Take care of each other and remember the good times with Diane. Those memories are precious.
