Bruce W. Billsborough of Vulcan, passed away suddenly at home on March 2, 2024 at the age of 71 years.

Bruce was born April 6, 1952 at Victoria, B.C., son of Robert and Leone Billsborough. He was raised and educated In Victoria and at a young age, moved to Calgary, AB. While here, he became a Journeyman Boilermaker for Local 146 out of Edmonton. After living in Edmonton for a short while, he moved back to Calgary.

Bruce loved music and played bass guitar in a band in Calgary for a couple of years. He especially loved the Beatles and loved to sing. He also had a Triumph motorcycle and took his sister Donna for many thrilling rides. Bruce also enjoyed playing darts and crib and loved his beer while at the local pub. He loved to read, especially science fiction.

Bruce moved to Vulcan in 2015 where he continued to live until his passing. He will be missed by his siblings.

Bruce is survived by his sisters – Donna Billsborough and Linda Smith, his beloved cat ‘Dufus’ and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Leone Billsborough.

It was Bruce’s wish not to have a formal service at this time.

    I am very sorry but in my shock and grief of losing Bruce I somehow forgot to mention that he was predeceased by our sister Joyce Hinds. I have also found out that our estranged sister Linda Smith also predeceased Bruce.
    I am sorry for the confusion.
