BEXTE, ANDREA DAWN (nee: McKAY) OF CALGARY, ALBERTA PASSED AWAY SUDDENLY JUNE 9, 1997 AT TORONTO, ONTARIO AT THE AGE OF 28 YEARS.
DAWN WAS BLESSED WITH A DEVOTED HUSBAND DAVID, TWO PRECIOUS SONS KYLE AND KEEAN. SHE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY HER FATHER GORDON McKAY AND HIS SPECIAL FRIEND MARILYN FERGUSON, HER MOTHER BARBARA McKAY, TWO BROTHERS BRUCE (DIANE) McKAY ALL OF CALGARY AND BRADLEY (MELANIE) OF VULCAN, MOTHER AND FATHER-IN-LAW NADINE AND HUBERT BEXTE, A BROTHER-IN-LAW CODY (LISA) BEXTE, A SISTER-IN-LAW MARDI (MURRAY) SCOTT ALL OF ARROWWOOD, HER GRANDMOTHERS MRS. GWEN COSKEY AND MRS. KATHLEEN CODE BOTH OF CALGARY, FIVE NIECES, TWO NEPHEWS, NUMEROUS AUNTS, UNCLES AND COUSINS.
DAWN WAS PREDECEASED BY HER GRANDFATHERS BRUCE McKAY AND NORMAN CODE.
DAWN WAS AN INSPIRATION TO ALL WHO KNEW HER. DURING THE PAST EIGHTEEN MONTHS SHE FACED NUMEROUS CHALLENGES WITH OPENNESS AND COURAGE, CHOOSING TO CULTIVATE OPPORTUNITY FROM ADVERSITY. SHE LOVED LIFE AND MODELED FOR ALL OF US HOW TO “ENJOY WHAT THERE WAS TO ENJOY INSTEAD OF SUFFERING WHAT THERE IS TO SUFFER”. HER WARM BEAUTIFUL FACE AND INFECTIOUS LAUGH COMMUNICATED A GENUINE LOVE AND CARING FOR OTHERS.
SHE HAS LEFT A RICH AND HEALING LEGACY TO ALL HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
