BEAR, Kluane Rose 1976 – 2021

It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of Kluane Bear, beloved wife of Greg Anderson of Champion, AB.

Kluane is survived by her mother Mildred Bear (Varty), the late Leslie Bear, husband Greg Anderson, son Branden Scott Bear (Junghee Hyun), daughter Taylor Marie Bear (Ryan Meredith), daughter Cassady Jade Bear (Alex Gehring), son Phillip Gerald Mayer-Bear (Brianna Jays), stepmother to Logan Anderson (Kim Bercheid), sister to Scott Gerald Bear, Jodie May Bear, grandson Alexander R. McKay, granddaughter Serena Jade Meredith-Bear, Cats Tatonka, Blake, Sprocket and Princess, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends.

Kluane was born at the Grace Hospital in Calgary, AB and was raised in the communities of Montgomery and Bowness. Growing up, Kluane enjoyed spending her days closely with her siblings and was always surrounded by her family and friends, which also continued after she started her own family. Kluane enjoyed cooking her entire life which further led to her becoming a Chef. After many years in Calgary, Kluane moved to Southern Alberta where she met her husband Greg Anderson. They spent many years travelling and camping alongside their cats, enjoying new adventures together and they enjoyed hot days on their boat in Arizona. She spent her Sundays dressed in pink camo with a good cup of black tea with a splash of Bailey’s, watching Sunday Nascar and eating her favorite snacks while her cats kept them company.

Kluane was always laughing, enjoying every moment. She was always there when her family and friends needed anything, whether that was a good talk, laugh or cry. Kluane left a lifelong impression wherever she went. Although taken far too soon, Kluane will be forever missed for her endless jokes, witty comments, knowledge of all things as well as her chic style.

You will forever be the Linda to my Marsha. Rest in Paradise, my beautiful Linda.

A Service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Carmangay Community Centre, 516 Grand Ave., Carmangay, Alberta.

Kluane had the biggest heart of anyone I knew. The short time I knew her I was going through the worst part of my life to date. She was always there to put a smile on my face and always able to make me laugh.
I will miss you my friend

My thoughts are with you Greg and the entire Bear clan.

You my friend were definitely one of a kind. I am still in shock over your passing. I will celebrate you as soon as I accept your passing. The tears are still flowing. Lunch and movie day will not be the same without you. We will save you a seat at the table in your honor and one in the theater too. Rest in Paradise my beautiful friend. I love and miss you.

My condolences to her family. We never met in person but she felt like a sister to me. We would often call each other “sister bitch” with love. I miss her daily and think about her every day. I dont know how many times I have seen something and thought “oh I need to share this with Kluane” and then realize i cant and never can again.

She was a dear friend I never had the pleasure to meet in person. But one I will cherish my whole life. She was there for me in some of my darkest times and was truly an incredible, beautiful person.
I’m thankful to have known her in our own way, and she will be deeply missed and irreplaceable.
Condolences to the whole family on your loss. She may be gone but never forgotten. Until we meet again my friend, rest in paradise.
