Lorraine Dyer Povey passed away on August 12, 2010 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 74 years.
Lorraine was born to Reginald and Arlie Dyer on May 21, 1936 in a sod hut on Uncle Bert’s land near Carlyle, Sask. She was raised on a dairy farm and attended school in Carlyle. Lorraine married Don Povey on October 10, 1953 in Dalesboro, Sask. The two farmed in Oxbow, Sask. for a short period, before Don became an elevator agent. Campbell, Colin Sidney “Unc” passed away on August 10, 2010 at Brooks, Alberta at the age of 79 years.
Colin is survived by his wife Maria, a sister Alice Bartsch and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tolsdorf, Frank John passed away at home in Lomond, Alberta August 17, 2010 at the age of 85 years.
Frank was born on April 8, 1925 at Perry Oklahoma to Henry and Emma Tolsdorf. His family moved to Canada and bought the King farm in the spring of 1928. Frank attended Casmir and Travers schools. When his dad passed away in 1941, Frank became the head of the household. He quit school to help the family run their various enterprises. Schierman, Wesley John “Wes” passed away October 23, 2010 at the Foothills Hospital at Calgary at the age of 64 years.
Wes was born May 16, 1946 at Calgary, Alberta to John and Wilhelmina Schierman. He attended grades one to twelve in Vulcan. In 1968 he graduated from the University of Alberta in Edmonton with a Bachelor of Science degree, receiving the First Class Standing prize from the Faculty of Agriculture. On October 12, 1968 he married Lucille Gliege of Lethbridge. Wes worked for Farm and Ranch Management Consultants until December 1975 and then moved to the family farm at Vulcan,

Sletto, Clayton Robert “Bob” passed away peacefully on October 26, 2010 at the Foothills Hospital at Calgary at the age of 57 years.
Bob was born on January 31, 1953 at Vulcan to Clayton and Betty Sletto of Champion. He attended school in Champion, High School in Vulcan and College at Olds. Bob married Marion Boll on June 24, 1978 and they had three children together, Laura, Matthew and Jill. He worked on the family farm until moving to Claresholm in 1989.

Bower, Louis passed away November 16, 2010 at the Southwood Care Centre in Calgary at the age of 87 years.

Marshman, Donald Clifford “Don” passed away July 8, 2009 at Vulcan Community Health Centre at the age of 78 years
Don was born at Champion, Alberta on March 10, 1931 to Clifford and Elizabeth Marshman. He was raised on the family farm one mile east of Vulcan. Don loved farming and took over the family farm. He married Rae Simpson on December 4, 1971 and she passed away on April 24, 1991. Don continued to live on the family farm until March,1998. He then became a resident in the Long Term Care Unit of the Vulcan Hospital and was one of
