Dawson, Dee passed away peacefully July 3, 2010 at the Vulcan Extendicare surrounded by her family and friends.
Dee was born August 20, 1946 at Edmonton, Alberta and, shortly after, was adopted by Cecil and Beulah Dennison of Vulcan County. Living on the farm as an only child soon instilled in her the love for animals, especially cats, as those “Special People” as she called them, became her closest companions.

Ashby, Vera (Stokes) passed away peacefully July 3, 2010 at Lethbridge, Alberta at the age of 83 years.
Mom was born July 1, 1927 at Retlaw, Alberta and shortly after moved to Lomond, Alberta where she grew up, married and raised her family of three boys. She also worked at the Lomond School as a teacher’s aide, librarian and secretary. In her retirement, she moved to St. Albert, then Chemainus and finally to Lethbridge. Nell was born January 13, 1923 at Capelle a/d Ijssel, Holland to Krijn and Aletta Verkaik. She received all her education in Holland and, in 1946, married Adriaan Broere. Their three oldest children were born in Holland and the family immigrated to Canada in 1952. Nell and Andy were blessed with a fourth child in Canada.
