Please accept my condolences, Dave was a wonderful person and must leave a big hole in the hearts of all of his family. I knew Dave through the business side of things, and he quickly became one of our favourite customers. Dave was always a pleasure to deal with. He had a great sense of humour and loved to chirp me and the staff and lighten the mood. I cannot think of one staff member that would not always add “he’s a great guy” whenever his name came up in a conversation. I hope the sadness of this huge loss, is soon replaced with all the fond memories and wonderful stories of a man who lived a great life, and touched the lives of everyone he met.

My sincere sympathy goes out to Marjorie, and to Earl, Chris, Jen, and their families at this very sad time! I knew that David had health issues in the past, but I had no idea he had been unwell recently. News of his passing came as a real shock to me! The connection between The Hardwick/Armstrong Family and The Maronda family goes back well over a century! My Grandparents, Carl and Alvina Maronda, were close neighbours to David’s Grandmother! Dad and his siblings grew up with Alberta, Grace, Olive and Howard. I still remember the day David and Marjorie married … and while they were half a generation older than me I always think of them with fondness and with that historical connection that unites so many old time Lomond families!
