Many years ago, Bob and I went to visit Clint and Rena when they lived in Nordegg and Clint surprised us with a Helicopter ride thru Crescent Falls. That was my first Chopper ride and it was a spectacular experience… Very memorable… We always enjoyed our visits with U and Clint, Rena…. I only just saw this Obit when I searched for U Rena… but I know the heartache even after these years… May God grant U much peace and healing…

Sorry to hear about Clint…Connie
My sincere and deepest sympathy goes out to Byrla, Shannon, Rob and extended families. The Armstrong families were close neighbors and now own the farm where we (the Kole family) grew up. I was blessed to have the opportunity to babysit Clinton, Shannon and Rob on occasion and treasured the encouragement and confidence that Byrla and Floyd extended to me. Many pleasant and treasured memories!!! It also warms my heart to know that Clint and my son Trevor, who is also a helicopter pilot, connected a couple of times over the years.
God’s Blessings and Peace to all of you as you share your own treasured memories. Clint’s love will always be with you!
Byrla and family:

My sympathy goes out to all the members of Clint’s family on his sudden passing. My connection with Clint was distant and took place many decades ago when we were children, but I always remembered both him and his dad, and their farm not far from Lake McGregor. When Bobbie Nimz sold his go-cart business in Vulcan in about 1960, my dad bought one of the go-carts (a machine embellished with the name “Torchie”) for me. I enjoyed that powerful little toy for several years but advertised it for sale when I bought my first Honda motorbike. Floyd called and was interested in possibly buying it for Clint. My brother and I took it up to Armstrong’s and Clint and I had a fun afternoon. In the end, Floyd did buy the cart and I heard that later he and Clint further fixed it up – giving it an actual transmission and more power. At the time I was impressed by the Armstrong’s farm site, and the friendly reception we received. I only knew Clint as a lively boy, but from the picture posted with his obituary it appeared that even in adulthood he liked to live something of a life of adventure.
